Scaling items
I think I have an extra chromie cause I have no idea how to tell if an item/champ scales. Does anyone have any advice on how to figure out how base champs/items are best early/mid/late?

Ex: one crit item? Not that great. 2+ crit items? Much higher chance to crit and thus more scaling the more you get - to a certain point. %hp damage - scales with enemies as their hp scales by leveling up and/or items they buy. %dmg reduction - scales in similar but reverse fashion of %hp damage - like the anti-damage equivalent of %hp damage items
Ex: renekton abilities scale off bonus ad mostly - so if you go full ad, you do a crap ton of damage. However, you are also super squishy. Mostly it's cleaver plus maybe 1 other ad item into tank. Thus he doesn't make much use of his ad scaling on his abilities and falls off late game. Compare to riven - maybe lower base damage on abilities, but usually builds tons of ad. Abilities all scale off ad, thus becomes stronger late game as she builds more ad.
