"If Shaco turns out to be too weak, we'll buff him, we won't leave him trash forever"

So uh, when do you suppose you're gonna follow through with that promise Rito?

Shaco is without a doubt the worst off assassin with this rework. I've seen a Rioter respond to posts about every single assassin except for Shaco. This is exactly what I was afraid of: Rito leaving Shaco out to dry until 3-4 years down the line when they finally get around to reworking him completely.

Just admit it: you're putting Shaco on the back-burner, leaving him intentionally weak so that everyone forgets about him and stops playing him, just like you did with Urgot when he was strong.

There's absolutely no reason to leave Shaco like this, with his pathetically nerfed E and Q damage. Have you seen what Rengar or Kha'zix can do after their changes? They're pretty much perma-banned status (or would be if Vayne and Yasuo were't taking up space). Meanwhile Shaco can't even 100-0 someone anymore like he's supposed to.

Thanks for ruining such a great champion Rito. That's what you do best I guess.

Shaco has almost a 54% winrate after the changes and you're asking for buffs. You're as bad as the "Shyvana sucks" circlejerkers and she's doing even better than Shaco is.

Shaco has always maintained a good winrate, simply because the only people who contribute to it are dedicated Shaco mains who have been playing him forever. With a playebase like Shaco's, it's no surprise his winrate is high. But whether his winrate is high or not, that doesn't mean Shaco (especially AD Shaco) isn't trash atm (which he is).

The point is that Shaco is fine. Who cares if it's as AP or AD. Shaco is doing quite well for himself right now; he's nowhere near gutted like people claim.

AP an AD Shaco is so much different playstyle. If you are a Shaco main and have 2000 games or so, and you have to switch from AD to AP to be useful and doesn't work in some teamcomps/matchups then you most likely wanna quit this champ. All Shaco mains say AD is weak and AD Shaco has low win rate, but AP Shaco has high win rate. I found him very effective using hybrid build as well. Problem with Shaco is the playerbase, there are only OTP Shaco payers, no casual players, so his win rate will be never very low, due to people who play that champ are most likely huge mains. Problem with AD Shaco is he has no burst and not enough strength to survive as a fighter, and AP Shaco has that just because of the items who allow you to burst. If you have at least Hextech Gunblade and Sheen/Lich Bane you do much more than Hydra/Statikk. You just have to buy items what do damage itself like Runich/Ludens Echoes etc. because Shaco's scaling is pretty garbage. They said they will fix Backstab crit and Thunderlords bug, hope it will help a bit.

The point is that Riot consistantly fails to follow through on their promises and refuse to admit mistakes.

Except they aren't failing to follow through because Shaco is doing fine.

His win rate went up though, and he's outperforming the other Assassins by a mile. This hardly says he's trash in any meaningful way because it's quite the opposite.

Calabok3 votes

he's not too weak so he wont be buffed.

Not even close,

That honor belongs to Zed.

AS shaco is worse off, but Shaco as a wole is much stronger now. His AP builds are much more potent and effective and he can actually contribute to the team now outside of splitpushing.

I agree AD Shaco needs compensation buffs and tuning to bring him back to relevance but claiming shaco is dead is a bold and ignorant claim.

oh no.. Shaco has dropped down to 53% win rate.. he needs a buff.. http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/shaco/platinum

idk what your taking but i want some...

on a side note.. why does he only get 1 downvote when asking for a buff to a 53% winrate champ, and i get like 10 downvotes when i ask for a buff to a 38% win rate champ....

Shaco a 3150 ip champ (or is he 1350)

Rito has 0 incentive to make him as good as a champ that's still 6300

If he were 6300 I guarantee he'd be looked at more and they'd be desperate to make him work

Big Lincoln1 votes

riot's already buffing him:

fixing his passive not proccing thunderlords passive will deal normal crit damage if he crits (item 3031 item 3087 no longer does reduced damage if he would crit normally on that attack) and does the guaranteed crit if it doesn't

not a single other change is needed to buff AD shaco

AP shaco has already maintained an above average winrate; as a champion, he is completely fine. AD shaco is the weak build; he's getting buffed.

basic research would tell you riot is already looking at how to buff him, but gameplay is just a boards for whining

not a single other change is needed to buff AD shaco

I'd prefer if you said "Let's see how AD Shaco performs with these changes and ask/propose for buffs later" (these changes are not buffs btw; it's how Shaco should function in the first place)

TequilaZombie1 votes

That's not actually buffing, tho. This is called bug fixing. They already said those things were not intentional.

DarkRitual1 votes

We're one patch past preseason. It's too early to tell if most are "too weak" since people haven't had enough time to let the meta settle and figure out optimal build situations.

TequilaZombie1 votes

They are thanfully looking into AD Shaco. Specially now that AP Shaco became the stronger version. However they mentioned that they wanted to be very careful with their analisys because Shaco's numbers are a bit weird due to having little to no casual Shaco players and a fuckload of veteran players, which makes his statistics a little fucked up.

WhaiiSoSerious1 votes

lol nothing but trolls in this thread.

Shaco is shit atm. And fixing his proc with thunder isn't a buff that's just how thunder works...

Feel like riot did that on purpose so that when they actually fixed it ( which btw im still shocked they haven't fixed yet ) people would categorize it as a buff.

People saying Shaco doesn't need buffs are honestly clueless.

His ''balance'' patch is coming out after his ''bug fix'' patch. Meddler said so.

Where the fuck is Chickenwrap when you need him?

AD Shaco is not so great but AP Shaco is performing really well. He's not weak and in a much better spot than he once was despite his AD build losing out. Pink Ward is a streamer who mains Shaco, been seeing him taking the clown toplane a few times with a lot of success.

Not a few times, all da time.

AP Shaco is ridiculously oppressive, while AD Shaco is so freaking useless. While waiting for Shaco buffs, just play AP Shaco for a while.
