You're complaining that a class made to eliminate 1, maybe 2 target (unless all low health or they're fed to hell) in as fast of a time as possible is burst oriented. Meanwhile a champion which is part is a class made for teamfights and utility (but still some burst) had as much burst as an assassin, but did next to nothing in a teamfight.
So my point still stands: you don't understand the difference between an mage and an assassin
