Chogath and Rammus rework.

Since there is talk (mostly from riot reave) about reworks on certain champions with Chogath and Rammus included i figured id give my two cents on the subject as they are my second and third most played champions.

Rammus So for starters Rammus my second most played champion and the champion I got mastery 7 on recently. The reason this champion probably needs a rework simply because of how un-interactive his kit is. Id be lieing if i said I didnt completely understand it.

Key problem: his Ult and his W are uninteractive. While his ult is pretty good design for what little design they had at the time in teamfights its pretty much ignored and generally used to clear waves in the late game. His W pretty much says if you focus me you die. Which isnt very healthy gameplay even if it is completely balanced.

There are great parts of his kit too however: rammus's Q allows a good rammus to have extreme control over the map even from the top lane due to its duration and speed. His E allows him to single out a target for a couple of seconds which can win or lose you a fight. However they are balanced around the fact that they are extremely powerful but short ranged.

In order to solve this it might be best to have a different concept (loosely) similar to his passive that he returns damage that hes taken over a period of time as a on hit auto-attack for his W and some form of teamfight changeing ability for his ult to compensate for the thornmail and defensive ball curl synergy being removed.

Chogath As far as I know chogath's biggest problem is his Q. The ability will be completely and entirely broken if it is enlarged but is only balanced right now because of how impossible it is to hit. This overall is not very good design. If an ability is so powerful that you have to balance it around an RNG element it makes it less reliable overall and as such, less fun.

The good part of his kit however is just how much he can completely control a teamfight. For example He has such good sustain whenever he kills a minion {Passive: carnivore, whenever you kill a minion heal for 20-71 health} that any and all poke will be completely ignored and his ability to silence people for 2.5 seconds with feral scream pretty much means he cant be engaged upon.

Even killing him is a pain in the ass with his ultimate {Feast: Burst the fuck out of a target and gain 100-180 health up to 6 times} making it so chogath can pretty much build nothing but resistance and still have the health pool to stay healthy.

So really the only reason he fails is because of his Q that could be fixed pretty easily. Chogath; while the AOE is one of the biggest picking points of him, doesnt need as much AOE if his Q is something that is a more reliable form of control.

TLDR Rammus's w and R are un-interactive and could be changed for the better and Chogath has a pretty useless Q and a pretty good E that could be changed to be more in line for his kit.

these are both simple champions with clear strengths/weaknesses. neither need substantial changes if any.

both of them have counterbuilds, but you are literally just being counterpicked and their natural build path (their strength) happens to do exceedingly well against whatever it is you picked.

if they were as gross and overpowered as people made them out to be, they would be pick/ban, what majority favors because its proven to be effective time and time again, but they just arent, because they do have work arounds.

do you know what beats cho gath? anyone who builds remotley tanky, and builds a bork.

do you know what beats rammus? poke, magic damage, knockbacks, and lifesteal.

im sorry you did your standard build which you do every game on that champion you picked, but maybe this was the game where you should've considered building bork on yasuo. or maybe tried rylias first item on vel koz. who knows, but i can guarantee, you didn't try it before hand before complaining about these 2 champs.

these guys are largely fine in every way, they are dated yes, but it works and its fair, theres simply no need for change

just checked your champ history, tons of your wins on rammus are against auto attack reliant teams like yasuo, vayne, kayle etc. thats good thinking on your end, reserving a dedicated counterpick against them, does that make the champion broken op? hell no.

Nither of them are really overpowered and I know how to counter them its just the fact that Riot Reave is talking about reworking them so I posted by two cents on them. The problem with rammus is that he has an uninteractive gameplay that takes little to no skill to play well unless you are facing your counters.

The way you deal with poke and magic damage is you engage with deadmans plate and charged qs. Possibly teleports. If you are good with rammus you should be able to get next to your oponent no matter what.

You dont really counter chogath by building botrk since a good chogath will always be with his team. In laneing phase you will always be farming.

Cho's Q is very good imho. And sorry but I won't read anything except the Td;or until you fix that unreadable wall text. I can't read that massive paragraph but if u fix it I will.

I have absolutely no idea how to make it readable but ill think of something. Frankly i figured id just write this for fun.

Edit: I rewrote it for the sake of solving bordom so I hope it is readable now.

Space them out. Break it up into more paragraphs.

What, nooooooo , this is a useless rework , in LOL are so many champs who need a rework , but nooooo , we are Riot , why we should not do a rework for a normal champ . You have Yasuo , Vayne , Darius etc , but you rework Rammus ... just stupid and useless . And if you don't play a champ please don't suggest rework mechanics, because you don't understand how the champ works ... #PlsDon'tReworkRammus pls ;(((

Ps: Sorry for my English ... Rammus

A rework can happen to any champion and every champion can technically use one.
