Why league will become a fad.

The entertainment industry is not a company. People may say its a company but frankly I don't think a music video is going to fix my microwave. If you dont put effort into the entertainment you provide you will fail. Thus it all starts with players replying with "its a company."

This is something people of the entertainment industry just don't understand. Nick doesn't understand that its nickelodeon studios not nickelodeon co. Thus, every show they have recently put up has been mostly crap. I say mostly after watching the avatar reboot that isnt really a reboot. Even spongebob has been going off the edge. Cartoon network kinda realizes this. You can tell because of all the effort put into some of their shows. If teen titans go didnt exist i would be able to say more. Its funny because the top comment on the imdb is that his son watches it; but, he doesnt and people think that means its a good show and not a show thats made to keep your kids entertained while you ignore it. Yet people will still defend it.

Onto the music industry if im going down the list. The people like frank Sinatra will be known forever because of their effort into their music. Nicki minaj might be known for her song starship (which is close to a lyrical genius with the exception of the constant pointless cussing).

Youtube will fail because of them fucking all of the biggest youtube stars and trying to force people that dont play games or make reveiws into the top categories. (notice all the adds for youtubers that will never be a markiplier or pewd) Id say that if anyone was able to make a site that worked just as well as youtube and possibly better (id suggest makeing the ability to find new videos and new channels easier by serching easier) Will almost instantly beat youtube simply by allowing uploaders to make content without copyright problems. Sure make sure episodes that are legitly copyright infringeing are taken down but youtube is revokeing peoples rights of reveiwing.

Now how does this fit into league? Well because it was the longest liveing fad in existence not because it is a fad. But because it wasnt always a fad. People will tell you night and day on how good league use to be but usually people make excuses for new league. it was never more prevalent then in the video deadlock league vs dota https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OROWtr4F8E. Now take notes. I dont care about dota. It is a game that isnt there to be a fad. Its been around a while and will do its own thing no matter what. Its fun to dendi and will be fun to him even in the future Copy and paste for smite.

Now in the video matpat says alot of crap that any person that played bolth for a little while (me) will tell you isnt true. The main decider isnt the games itself (which league players will tell you is crap but dota players who literally compete with the rest of steam dont mind saying) but much rather the companies that make them. Valve has this system where they would rather buff every single hero in the game then to nerf one hero. League doesnt care about the games playability and nerfs them since its easier. Thus we move onto the big problem. The game is a cash tree.

I will never complain about a cash cow. The amount of effort it takes to milk a cow every day (going out makeing sure the cow is healthy and all of that) means you are putting effort into the game. A cash tree means you cut down the tree and use all of it until theres nothing left. This is the existance of a fad. You can actually make a cash cow into a fad. Just shoot the cow for the same effect. This is what league did.

People will say this came around the time that riot was unwilling to keep urf in the game. I say this came around the time they removed karma from the game and "reworked" her with definite air quotes around rework. Now take notes. I was a mundo main at this time. I didnt care about the karma rework. But around this time the game was becomeing less visually appealing and more for usefullness. INDUSTRIES. TAKE NOTES. Getting usefullness is not a reason to make it ugly. First it started with the skill leveling (which became bland insted of these cool little squares that were very appealing but hard to click). Then of course they started to remodel and rework anyone that had more then 4 skins. (teemo teemo teemo and on the oposite end taric taric taric)

Then they went rampent. They started reworking nearly every champion and took out items that should have been kept. They were only really taken out for new players because old players were getting tired of their shit. The thing that made me realize that league was fucked was around the time that sion got reworked. Now keep in mind that i mained sion at that point in time so this actually impacted me hard. I fell into a depression. But i decided not to say shit until i felt it was time to explain this to people. Dunkeys video made me realize it was time. Even know that ive been trying to get into the competitive scene so i could (hopefully) help out riot in makeing the game fun for everyone again. I couldnt after sion was removed. If you played dota 4 years ago you would be able to get back into it in a month. If you played league 4 years ago you wouldnt know what the fuck youre supposed to do. Wheres sion? why doesnt nidalee do damage on spears anymore? Why does sivir have teeth problems? Unfortuneatly this wasnt even the core of the problems.

The core of the problems was demonstrated by void fizz and urf. Urf was made an event that they could drag new players into on april fools. If they honestly cared that the community liked urf more then the regular game do you really think they would have removed it? Same thing with old twisted treeline i understand but it was at the same time with void fizz and urf. Void fizz was the communities most requrested skin. Riot knew they could make money off it. They made dickloads of money off it. But they couldnt make money off allowing players a refund system fixing the tribunal and keeping urf and old twisted treeline. (the new one was made to have 2 competetive scenes so they would have 2 differnt games and 2 differnt set of players inevitably making them more money) its also good to take notes that the terms and agreements says that they can steal all of your ideas and you wont even get a mention. The new champion everyone? They claim to have made it alone but guess what. It was made by a member of the community that they are now trying to make money off.

Now its back to where dunkey was wrong and where dunkey was right. This is not a response of his video so im not going to compare. But let me put it this way. The system they put in punishes the players for being competative and allows the players to troll and make the game hell for the other players. This has completely separated the game and is the reason im probably going to quit league soon. I understand the afking thing. I understand leaverbuster. I dont understand why i got leaverbuster with a karthus jungle that spammed its time to troll in pregame chat and then proceeded to ks to hell and flame his team for not being able to kill people. I afked. I got leaverbuster. He still plays.

Due to the system they put in place where the players that flame the trolls the feeders and such are banned and the people that troll and feed will get nothing the competative scene is quickly going nowhere. The game is no longer fun for older players since theres nothing they like in it. The game is only fun to players that just got into the game and dont know enough about the game to actually make a judgement. This is the most common form of pandering and the reason cod will most likely die out sooner or later. Maby it wont (did you see advanced warfares fighting system? they had to put effort into that, right?).

Now im going to post this to a few other sites (because lets be honest this post will be taken down almost instantly. i hear reddit tries right?) but alas we meet again. Inevitably my words may not reach one million ears let alone one thousand. But as i have posted before and may post again just on another thing. The cash cow isnt the problem. Its the idiot trying to shoot it. ~for hopefully the final time, mosdeadly, the mighty corpse-maker.

Edit i didnt thought i would need to fix this somwhere. The biggest reason why i say that the sion rework and the karma rework was a failure was because of the simple fact that it was not necessary. The champion got completely changed insted of being fixed to be more in line with the game. Like nidalee. This was to make it easier for new players to join. Insted of makeing old players remain playing.
