When you see both your Support and Jungler pick a squishy don't pick some carry top yourself

Pick a bloody Tank.

I myself main Top lane and if your champion pool's as shallow as most GURL Gamer's personality you shouldn't be playing one of the roles that define the way your team will be playing the match.

Hell, I main Mordekaiser, a NO CC, barebone utility Juggernaut and the definition of a melee Carry. He's durable, got a ton of damage but literally no utility for his team.

You know what I do though if I see Soraka and Nidalee/MasterYi being locked on my team?

I pick Nautilus or Maokai All my damage won't be enough to fill the gaping void not picking a tank might leave you with.

Besides, playing tanks can be extremely satisfying as well. Take Nautilus for example, the guy literally has TOO much CC

Spammable CC, mind you if you build him like I do (item 3068 item 3025 item 3190 item 3083 item 3143 /item 3026 ) And you know what? You can deal decent damage yourself and be a huge factor in your team's victory.

You don't always have to be "THE Carry", sometimes you just got to think and know what to pick to really help out your team. If everyone would be selfish pricks you might end up with a team that'll chain feed because they want to be that SoloQ hero

Just saying, playing Tanks can be really fun and if you lack a decent frontline/CC/Engage/peel winning becomes a lot harder if you don't outright snowball.

Just thought that needed to be said, especially after my last ranked game where the enemy team consisted out of four squishies

I've tried to play tanks when I need to, but frankly too many times have I been left feeling shitty by being incapable of carrying and with a team that wasn't willing to capitalize on the engages I'd perform. So either I'm bad at playing tanks or I just can't rely on my team to capitalize on the openings I make. Either way, I'll stick to a carry top laner (albeit one with CC and utility of his own Yasuo MonkeyKing )

I main Mord and Naut as well but I rarely ever do top lane. It happens, and I allways use Mord. I don't know enoughto know when to chose, I also play normals so champ select can sometimes be a nightmare. But if there is a tank I play Sor or Sona, just to find out that the tank class has a dps build on the loading screen. I actually prefer playing tanks/healers in team pvp matches it takes a little more skill than a dps, just no glory. But really who cares about glory if you win the match, amirite.

Or even bruisers are great.

What matters more is if a team actually had frontlines and backlines. If a team is full squish but has a good mix of frontlines and backlines, it's okay. If a team does have tank and squishies, but all backline? Yeah good luck with that.

I like to think my Yorick, Sion and Maokai play is pretty decent. But Gangplank's the only champion I'd say I'm comfortable on :P He's also just a ton of fun, so that's that :^)

I let others do the carrying. I just peel for you or obliterate their backline with the likes of Irelia

Honestly with how tanky some of these bruisers can get I don't see why they'd pick a tank when they can pick shit like ekko, jax, yasuo, or riven and become tanky as shit while spamming twice as much damage as an adc.

I completely agree with you on how in most games a tank is necessary but why would these people pick a tank when Riot makes braindead overloaded champions who can build like 1 or 2 tank items and sustain in a teamfight long enough to get a triple kill?
