Get a lobby, and hope the spoiled brat spamming for a lane trade doesn't tantrum dodge when he's forced to keep his assigned lane.

Load for so long you can complete an entire quest in Monster Hunter while you're waiting.

Get a game, and play for a whole two minutes before the AFK surrender vote, because, amazingly, someone has wandered off to find food, shelter, or a working form of entertainment during the 19 minutes of loading.

You could replace it with Season 5, Season 4, or even Season 3 and it would still be true. I remember when Champion Select was just people going:

Player 1: "Top" Player 2: "Mid" Player 3: "Top" Player 1: "NO me Top" Player 3: "No I said it first!" Player 4: "ADC" Player 5 has joined the room Player 5: "Top" Player 1: "I already said Top first, both of you" Player 3: "I'm going Top" Player 5: "I said Top first" Player 3: "You joined the room late" Player 1: "Screw you guys, I'm going Top" locks in Jax Player 5: "No I am" locks in Wukong Player 3: "Fine! I'll go ADC!" locks in Corki Player 4: "I said ADC" Player 3: "&%$#!"

Honestly the brat would end up doing something similar in the old champion select anyway. Like picking a champion and claiming a role despite someone else above them already doing that role.

Well in that case I'm optimistic for S7. Started in PreS6 and fell in love with the game. Nowhere else to go but up for me.

I quit playing because of DQ and the awful matchmaking that came with it. This season would have been great if they just added the role select without the dynamic queue.

I thought the capital E in Exhausting was setting up an summoner 3 pun for the pain us adcs go through in the bot lane. Left disappointed.

In previous seasons, this was pretty much every game when someone in the randomly gathered group didn't get their preferred role.

Load for so long you can complete an entire quest in Monster Hunter while you're waiting.

Some people play on toasters. Nothing Riot can really do about that. Also, happened in previous seasons too.

Still better than spending 20+ minutes playing out a 4v5 game.
