At 5% hp? Would you fight a Full health mage at 5% HP? Yes you would because they don't have power outside skillshots.

If having a 5% hp enemy in front of you is overextending then yes
Or you could just pick an AD champ and in the same scenario you're not overextended.

I don't know why you guys have this fetish of Riot having "AD BIAS" or "AD CHAMPS STRONGER" but I guess that's what most mage mains act like, because if you actually started thinking for 3 seconds then you'd realize that AD casters apply to this as well, such as Zed which with no W, can die. He can die due to his W on cooldown unlike a mage who needs all of their abilities on cooldown.
Khristophoros1 votesThe issue is mages options are really shallow unless their kit specifically makes up for it. That's why I pretty much only play Vel'koz and I don't play any other mages.
Here are my issues:
Autoattack becomes completely worthless after early game. It's an action you can take, but it barely even matters. It's like when an AD champ has a damage ability that scales on AP. They stopped doing that because nobody liked it.
Itemization is mostly offensive and there is one good defense option, Hourglass. We can't choose between niche defensive items based on the situation. Offensive items are just whatever fits your champ the best. There's not a lot of adaptation during a match. AP itemization isn't any more interesting than it was 9 years ago while ADs have gotten a lot more depth in their options.
So I'm not even complaining about balance. Just things that aren't fun or satisfying.
OurLestrade2 votesI've never been too fond of AD casters because they can always right click you to death when their cooldowns are up. I'll never forget the Kalista who dodged a full Zed combo only for him to crit with the old Youmuus on a single auto and chunk her entire health bar.

Yaśuo Main1 votesWell whats wrong with it? If Khazix got on top of you with low hp and you have no abilities up then obviously you are being outplayed by him, because he knew you had nothing up. You're just removing outplay potential for yourself, and making mages stronger for having a weakness. Also, this will for sure warrant MR buffs to a bunch of champions
So I mean, why are you even posting about this?
I don't get pissed off when Viktor lives with 16 hp while under my ignite because he Q'd me last second while I was low hp. I think that's the exact same thing.
