How do you play against double burst mage bot lanes?

How can you play against any combination of these? Their spells hit REALLY hard and have very low cooldowns, as a marksman i can't even hope to farm safely against them because most of them can hit me from very far away. And there's two of them plus a potential jungler.

How can you play against double burst mage bot lanes? If you get hit by any kind of crowd control you're dead because of the extreme amounts of damage they deal, and they have practically no downtime besides their extremely low mana costs. I haven't found any marksman that can hope to compete because champions like has smaller mana pools, higher mana costs and lower mana regen than any mage.

Rush item 3140 and/or item 3155 , and possibly take summoner 1 . Isn't there also some rune you can take to help defend against magic damage?

Many of the mages you listed rely on CC to land more of their burst. If you can get out of that CC you can avoid a lot of damage. Hextech's passive also saves you a lot.

Out of these, there are only 2 burst mages ( Veigar Annie )

Other than that, just build MR against the bursty ones, or sustain against the pokey ones

There's a huge issue there though. There's only really one cost-efficient magic resist item for marksmen, and it's expensive item 3155

the ONLY champions that can build this item and actually hit for more than 70 damage every 1.2 seconds is Lucian and Jhin as the only marksmen that do not depend on attack speed items to succeed.

And if you're facing a champion like Annie Ziggs ? By the time you can buy a item 1033 they'll have their ultimates up and can take down 70% of your health with their QWE combo, all by themselves. And don't forget they have another low-downtime mage in their lane, and at least one of these is running summoner 14 .

It's a huge balance issue. The mages scale harder than the marksmen until they complete 5 items. Double mage bot lanes typically only need one item to win their lane, because that item typically lets them spam their spells even more often, dealing much more damage with an enormous mana pool.

Not even Caitlyn can match most mages' range, and good luck dodging the spells of any 2 of these Ziggs Xerath Veigar simultaneously. Even if you dodge they can still outdamage you through basic attacks because you can't afford to build any damage items.

Avoid the CC and you're totally good. Most of their R abilities(Karthus, Veigar, Brand, Ziggs, .etc), hit as hard AF. Learn how to counter their R and CC. Remember, your autos have a sub-second CD(technically, they do), which is less than even a Karthus Q. Even if their abilities have more range than your autos, you've got abilities too. They may not be as hard hitting, but they're nice. MF has got her bouncy bullet, Caitlyn's got her trap and R, Kai'Sa has a burst combo available, Xayah a ton of mobility. Marksman can win, but it won't exactly be easy. You can beat most of these mages reliably if you get well enough, except for maybe a Karthus ult since you don't build Zhonyas as the ADC and sometimes your support doesn't have thick shields or healing. Even if you have cc to use on him, he'll commit suicide and ult, and you'll die anyways.
