Nasus passive

After reading a lot on riots thoughts on talons passive on how it is very underwhelming and what not, I started to brainstorm other champs that could use a new passive. Usually these passives are just plain and bland with no unique niche to them. I decided to talk about nasus' passive because I do think he can use a change. Nasus passive: Soul eater: Nasus gains 10/15/20% life steal.

I do feel like there are issues with this passive gameplay wise, but just the passive itself feels very underwhelming and for an awesomely designed champion like Nasus, I do think a better passive is not only possible, but necessary.

The passive itself is very odd for nasus in my opinion. The free life steal makes it so that this infinetly stacking machine can go straight tank afterward, because he has built in sustain. Making full tank nasus builds viable because he would still have crazy damage and great lifesteal, (Crazy damage definitely varies). But honestly that's not the main point. I think his passive of lifesteal is fine because he does need some form of sustain early game, I just don't think straight up lifesteal is the answer.

I had a few ideas for new passive ideas, and I welcome any suggestions as well. Here are a few.

Soul eater: Killing a minion with siphoning strike absorbs their soul, healing ( ), Such an original skill name I know. Intelligence: Nasus gains bonus health regen based on the number of ally minions nearby Knowledge: Nasus receives 5% health from damage caused to ally minions. (Ex: Minion takes 100 dmg, nasus heals 5 health), this is increased to 10% when dealt to ally champions.

Those are just a few of my ideas.

In all honesty I think nasus is in a pretty unhealthy spot right now. There's a reason he's never seen in competitive play and that's because teamwork and farm denial just shuts him down entirely. On the other hand if a good team and farm denial isn't present, this dog can shred your entire team without breaking a sweat. He's a champion with a far too streamlined gameplay. Meaning you MUST do something (That being stack your q up). This honestly goes for a lot of champions but maybe not to the degree of nasus' case. I do believe a larger ability rework is due, but a passive change to his (What I think) bland passive could use a tweak.

I like it the way it is.

His passive is completely fine. He relies alot on his lifesteal in order to sustain in lane and tank in teamfights. It's not like your passive ideas are any better ethier, like seriously? More health regen? Getting lifesteal on minions? What about in teamfights? Will those really help? Obviously, you haven't thought this through very well.

His passive in lane is completely fine. It is on par with other sustaining passives in the early game such as Cho'gaths, and later on it becomes extremely useful when used in tandem with his q.

I agree his passive needs more flavor but it's hard to put a finger on what would work. I don't think the suggestions are bad but they don't really change him at all. I'd like to see something that works with his lore in some way.

I like how you're trying to make things interesting, but this would destroy him late, he needs that big 20% lifesteal on his super Q for a big heal.
