He's always been one of my favorite champions, I mained him for the entire season 3 and 4. I picked him back up in the middle of season five, and he's always been my favorite champion since the beginning. Now that he's flavor of the month, he's probably going to get nerfed(not to mention I'm pretty sure he was played in the LCS). Just don't do anything too crazy with him, Riot.

Thats a significantly stronger CC than Rammus's taunt or Fiddle's fear which is ridiculous considering those champions basically completely revolve around those single target short range CCs.
The .75 second wind up time is virtually nothing when you consider most CC that even comes close to rivaling Event Horizon is usually much harder to pull off. If you drop EH as a follow up to an initiate, they're fked. Even if you just throw down the circle and trap some enemies inside without landing it on the edge, the enemy team will be split and they'll be pressured into engaging a fight on Veigar's terms, or they just leave their front line to die.
The fact that the Veigar rework made it easier for him to stack up AP also just made it much more tempting to get points into E much earlier in the game because he's not as thirsty for damage anymore.

where were you when his stun was instant and when his ult had a 1.2 AP scaling with dfg

GastonBarnacles2 votesSame happened to my gragas. Riot gave him slight buffs and then released cinderhulk. People caught on and he became fotm for a while. They nerfed him badly so that he cant really solo lane anymore. W does 0 dmg and q slows for 1.25 secs.

A tiny buff to his %HP against jungle monsters and then Cinderhulk turns him into the second strongest tank jungler in the game. Seeing the list of nerfs he has received since then really makes me want to cry, no champion deserves that.
Hard4Hamsters1 votesYep. He was way too safe as a jungler in proplay, and he had really good utility, damage, and tankiness and fit into multiple comps so well so he was the best blindpick in the game in the LCS. He only needs one thing to be super good again though...

I am a support Veigar main for multiple seasons, post changes helped him more
