Giving Ahri a charm buff isn't a "soft counter"
It''s a hard stop that, thanks to the last extraneous buff, is probably going to kill you.

That's not a buff. Her charm's vulnerability duration is also reduced to compensate but she needs much bigger changes than that in order to be viable in pro play.

Why does she even need to be "viable in pro play"???
Because every champion should be viable in pro play, even those with a low skill floor.
Because every champion should be viable in pro play
Almost 70% of the roster should follow that guideline too, then, because "every champions" extends further than the champion who's always been in the top 5 most picked in midlane all elo's included for almost half a year now. A champion who has 52-53%+ winrate every single patch should be seriously looked at for plain nerfs, favoritism or "pro play" included or not, AKA an already insanely good champion shouldn't get even better because some people want to see her getting played by someone else who probably doesn't care if a single champion amongst about 140 others is playable or not.

No lol. You must be mad to think if stuff like Kalista, Ziggs, Mundo, Annie should be meta with their current designs.

More champs need to be viable in pro play, not just Ahri.
Why?
Because other wise its the same 20 champs in pick/ban phase over and over and OVER AGAIN! Which is exactly what has been going on for this entire season.
Yes pros will always pick the best champs, but when those same champs have been pick/ban for more than a few months despite all the nerfs (
)those champs receives, it says how garbage the rest of the roster that aren't being picked for pro play are.

Pros select their champion for their team comp and strategy not because they want to play like some one-trick does. Ahri is a jack of all trades champion on the mid to weaker tier spectrum of each aspect. Characters in games like these tend to not be picked much in professional tournaments in any video game.
Strong Jack of all trades characters are just horrible for the health of the game if they are actually competitively strong.
Thats not even a nerf because ahris full combo normaly doesnt take more than 3 seconds to execute so its not really a nerf.

Nope it is a nerf that means you are forced to burn all 3 dashes in 3 seconds Not only that But in 5 seconds you could W twice in mid game Not only that but in kiting as well 5 seconds is needed , not gonna calculate it now , you do the math if you play Ahri , if you don't then don't throw random arguments
So it is a nerf more than a buff and it is aimed as a nerf and it is considered as a nerf when they did the changes for some reasons , many sources counted it as a nerf
Besides , what's the compensation buff? charm stopping dashes? that's a nice buff out there , can't deny that , but how many times do you deny a dash in a game? it barely happens once every few matches unless you're playing against something like LB that dashes a lot and to you Otherwise stopping dashes depends heavily on luck and charming a dashing target will happen rarely
So compare it Stop a dash every few games or a damage nerf ? ( a second W and some Ult charges if you don't wanna waste your ult dashes )
I've went through the challenger rundown of these changes and even he said it was a buff and that ahri doesn't need more than 3 seconds to execute a full combo. Against tanks it might be a nerf but it's literally not a nerf vs squishy targets. And stoping dodges requires luck? XDDDDDDDDD It's a skill mechanic you can literally stop any dash you want when you get the timing right.
rather than a buff or a nerf
those are changes intended to make her worse in some match ups and better in other match ups
but she needs much bigger changes than that in order to be viable in pro play.
If getting her to be "viable in pro play" means increasing her 53% winrate even further beyond along the way, I don't think it should even be considerable.
Same sh't with Renekton he is super good with Spear of Shojin allready and now hes like:Im the only Bruiser to actually get a steraks shield when im in the game fck y'all.
