As Lux, there's no point in building MR vs Diana, right?
Diana's build so far:

Diana's build so far:

athenes should be your choice if you want defense. If you are still having trouble than health items are the way to go.
Because 25 MR does ANYTHING MEANINGFUL against Abyssal.
Well, only if you count giving you enough magic resist to completely negate its effect and then some.
But if you want to give up on getting what mr you can and be taking true damage all game then go for it, live that dream.
Rephrase: 25 MR is meaningless against Abyssal + Void + Sorcs.
True. But. it's not for the late game. it's for the early game.
costs 1000 gold and gives 25 magic resist. This is a lot of MR early. You finish chalice before diana gets abyssal so you're pretty safe for that window.
lux base mr = 30 =25 chalice = 55
+
= -20 - 15 = -35
As lux you would have 20 mr
25 MR reduces magic damage by 20%. So the chalice is important before void staff is complete
At full build it amounts to very little. This is where health is more valuable to build than MR.
As if Assassins cared about resistances on squishies.
Was Void Staff the last item she built?
If so, MR rush would be great. Heavily counters the Flat Reduction and Penetration that Abyssal and Shoes give.

maybe u need poke frist . or dodge diana a q . u need zhonya when diana use R jumping to u, then just flash q a e R a W a .maybe she ll zhonya too when u ult . so maybe u keep ult for next q
When I play squishy long ranged champs like lux or AP kog (my experience is mostly with the latter), I tend to favor movespeed(/pinks) over resistances and try to play the don't get caught in the first place game, since even a 'tanky' lux is still going to be one of the lowest health champs in the game prone to quick death.
I'd consider chalice over morellos/fqc if I was worried about being flash->instaburst, although I often just run exhaust if I see I'm against a bursty assassin (instead of ignite which I tend to not be close enough to use more often than not).
Disclaimer: I am not a mid lane main.
Unfortunately, Diana doesn't even need to hit Q first to instakill a squishy. She can just R>W>E>Q and hit with her passive's third strike and you're dead.
Sure, so stay out of range of both Q/R.
Dianas R has 825 range, while lux Q is 1175 range, and lux E is 1100 range (and obviously the R has lots of range). Hanging way far back means she'll be able to dodge your skill shots fairly easily, but you should be able to farm relatively safely until you can pick up some kills via ganks/roaming.
She just adds Flash to her combo and you're still dead.
Hence your own flash and/or exhaust. Plus if she's flashing under your tower then that's a prime opportunity to land a q and at least trade a kill for kill.
ban her
no really
