@Meddler Anything for Taliyah soon?
The Rylai nerf hit Taliyah pretty hard, but if you ask me her kit as a whole isn't very suitable for a control mage, especialy if we consider the fact she doesn't have a damage dealing ult (althought it's one of the most unique and fun ults in the game). To me Taliyah has 3 problems: How hard it is to hit all 5 of her Q hits, the worked ground mechanic and her E being kind of lacking.
How about we give her something that makes her Q easier to hit? Movement speed on cast? Buffing the damage is cute but not very effective since the problem of Rylai getting nerfed still affects the landing of the spell...
Worked ground. This is pretty much the only form of zone control Taliyah is doing right now and she is litteraly zoning herself everytime she uses her Q. After using it 5-6 times in lane it's very hard to find a spot where you can use your Q properly and hit the enemy laner with it (it's almost impossible). Isn't worked ground kind of too punishing for Taliyah herself? A mere 10-20% MS boost and mana cost reduction doesn't make up for cuting 90% AP scaling on the spell and reducing the base damage to 33% of what it can be... If anything worked ground should be empowering to Taliyah, it should give her zones where the enemy is afraid to engage on her. She IS a zone control mage, a mechanic that reduces the space she can be efficient in is pretty much the opposite of what she should do no?
The only way to trigger her E is basicaly to land your W, otherwise no one is dumb enough to purposefully dash through your unraveled earth unless they don't know what the spell does, and the time it takes to set up makes it impossible to use it to punish someone who is dashing like let's say Poppy's W that can instantly block a dash and deal damage. And the slow on it is barely noticeable so there is no need for people to dash out of it/through it... I feel like it could have more zone controling tapped into it, if the slow was stronger people trapped in it would have 2 choices: Dash away and take some damage but be free, or stay in it and take less damage but be slowed. Or maybe make her W size could scale with rank so it's easier to get multiple targets to fall into her E?
Is there any buffs or work planned for Taliyah? I used to like this champion but playing her in ranked right now is kind of a death wish...
