The only time it is at all useful was very very late game, so nobody that knew anything used it. It didn't add anything to the game.
Revive? I swear in all my time playing LOL, i've only seen it being used with lower levels.
I understand that it had few uses but why'd they have to remove it? Imo it was the most fun summoner spell and although nobody really used it I dont see why they had to remove it if it was just a fun thing. Riot must feel like its a sin to keep anything fun in the game.
It wasn't worth the massive cooldown, simple as that, well until late game, VERY LATE game. Also the fact no one used it can be another lol. Riot isn't doing this to make it boring, I personally think it's to stop trolls, I've seen MANY MANY MANY more trolls carry Revive then someone who tries to actually use it as a mechanic. Sorry, but i'm with Riot on this one.

Because it was trash. Period.
You don't need that spell if you know how to play this game and if you obey the #1 League of Legends rule, which is do NOT die.
It's not "just as easy" to troll with that summoner spell. It reveals a small area for 5 seconds, how can that possibly hurt your entire team (hint: it cant) It can only hurt the individual if he can't use it well. Where as Revive could be used to give kills much quicker to enemies or execute yourself with, especially when paired with Teleport summoner spell.
