I really enjoy seeing Viktor every game.

Hes so much fun to play against, always having to dodge that long ass laser is really a nice little minigame, being able to go to the toilet or get some water while you wait for his slow field to disapear gives the game some much needed downtime and that he basicly just have to look at a minion wave no matter how big to make them all die ist super awesome, it gives you the challenge of having to tank the tower yourself.

Having a 9s CD long range AoE spell that deals 350 +98%AP damage is also super healthy and awesome to play against, its so much risk reward, get hit and die or dodge and get the reward to wait 9 seconds, cause he was way out of your range anyway.

And his Ultimate is always a joy, so many nice lights, I wish it wouldnt automaticly turn your screen grey once casted...

Seriously, I love that he is picked in nearly every game, hes so much fun!

0 escapes, 1 hit kill. Stop complaining about champs when you are a riven main...

BIg slow field that lasts for 4 seconds and is big enough to block whole jungle routes or half a lane, 4s CD spamable shield with spedbuff... Just because he has no mobility, that doesnt mean he has no escape mechanisms... Plus you can shoot your laser while running.

Oh I forgot, that Ultimate that can deal up to 980+195% AP in damage is also suuuuuuuuper awesome to play against...

Still better than playing against a Vayne every game.

A good Vayne can 1v5 by late game.

Viktor's an absolute god to have in a teamfight, but he's still not strong enough to take on 5 people by himself, considering:

-Your Q does meh damage, but makes up for it with the 2.5 shield and speed buff when it hits something, perfect for chasing down an enemy or making a quick escape.

-Your W is your anti-gank ability, and is what you'll often pop down during a teamfight. If you land it, you can practically win the teamfight.

-Your E is your main damage ability. You'll be using this frequently for the damage and the poking in midlane.

-Your ult is fantastic when timed right (capable of getting a double kill with a single cast), because of the brief silence/interrupt when cast and the high damage it deals when initially casted. Enemy champions that can Flash or move away from it quickly can outrun your ult however, unless you Q chase after them.

Now, does Viktor have counters? Of course.

-Any Ahri that can land her charm. -Talon. Blink to Viktor + spam all your abilities = win. -Fizz. No explanation needed. -Any Yasuo that knows when and where to dash, and how to properly use his whirlwind. -Swain. Swain is absolutely terrible to play against as a Viktor. If Swain doesn't root you, slow you, or DoT you, he'll probably kill you with his lifesteal.

Viktor is weakest in the earlygame, when he has 0 augments to his abilities. At this point, your only tools to escape death and ganks are your Flash and your W, if you have it by then. If you don't want to deal with a Viktor, just play an anti-mage midlaner or 2v1 him at earlygame.

Yasuo is useless vs Viktor - the wall doesn't stop the laser, you can use it behind the wall. Yasuo just feeds vs any good Viktor. Vs Swain just poke and farm, Viktor is better in teamfights (unless your team is full melee, Swain destroys on melee champions).

Viktor's Death Ray is treated as a projectile, meaning it's stopped by Yasuo's Wind Wall. Not sure where you got your "the wall doesn't stop the laser" information from. Viktor's Siphon Power is also stopped by Yasuo's Wind Wall, HOWEVER, the "empowered" basic attack you can do after casting your Q DOES penetrate the Wind Wall.

Any experienced Yasuo can run circles around Viktor, considering Yasuo's shield is a pain to deal with in the earlygame (you have to basic attack to get it down if you don't want to waste your Q or E, i.e. get in close range, Viktor's weakness) and Yasuo's mobility FAR outmatches Viktor's.

Swain has better pokes than Viktor, meaning that laning against him is a pain to say the least. Viktor's only good poke is his E, which outdamages his Q by FAR in the late game. Swain has a DoT that also SLOWS his target, (Viktor's useless if he can't run away from his attacker), a root that deals more damage than Viktor's Death Ray in the earlygame (not late, where Viktor is a powerhouse), and a DoT that also amplifies Swain's damage against the target.

Let's also not forget Swain's lifestealing ult.

1 laser and Yasuo can't even try to solo Viktor... Swain is too short ranged to try to kill careful Viktor.

the strongest part of his kit is his Q+lich:

510 + 1.2 ap at level 18 plus a shield and ms every 4s (2.4 with full cdr)

This is debatable, as his E does massive damage also. The biggest annoyance is his W, but it's also his only true way of avoiding any ganks. With proper coordination and a jungler with a good idea of timing, an early, pre-6 gank is enough to really shut him down hard. Someone who knows how to zone him from CS can easily prolong his E upgrade for quit a while. (His upgrades cost a total of 3k for max. 1k/upgrade.) Without his upgrades, he's virtually useless.

I know he can do some crazy damage late game but he is a bit hard to use. That laser takes practice to use and can easily be messed up under pressure. He also has to get in attack range to use his skills effectively.
