Gameplay/Client Feedback Megathread: One +, One -

Hey all.

There's a lot of talk lately about positivity vs. negativity and how Riot should be taking feedback and how we as a community should be giving it. As such, I figure a straightforward thread like this could be helpful, both to provide feedback and to see how we as a community handle providing feedback with a specific tone -- that of being non-aggressive and respectful to each other and to Riot even when we have complains or concerns about the way things are being designed and/or handled.

The premise is simple: post one thing you like about League currently, and one thing you dislike or feel needs to be improved.

The catch is also simple: If you cannot provide both a positive and a negative, your post will likely end up removed. If you use either to attack or insult anyone, your post will end up removed. If you use one in a sarcastic fashion or in an obvious attempt to avoid providing a positive or a negative, your post will likely end up removed. In short, if you're not willing to abide by the spirit of the exercise and provide friendly, informational positives and negatives, please just don't participate.

##Basically, keep things friendly, informative, and respectful.

Positive

I've been absolutely loving tower plating. It's making me consider my early game back timings, rotations, and pressure a lot more, as there's more to consider other than "will the tower fall?" It also adds some fun moments of excitement as I try to stay at that tower just the extra second or two to get that sweet, sweet plating gold. Of all the preseason changes we've had over the past years I think this is one of the ones that adds the most interesting decision points and one of the ones that feels the least disruptive to how the game plays. You're given more feedback and more reward for partial success, and none of it happens in a way that's unintuitive or invisible.

Negative

I'm a little frustrated at the lack of positive feedback in both the performance scoring system (S, A, B, C, D) and the report system. I think the former would benefit very much from a Heroes of the Storm style pop-up with some positive stuff (You dealt 20% more damage that the average! Go you!), and the latter would benefit from a less easily game-able way to track the outcome of your reports. My suggestion would be a bi-weekly or monthly pop-up of punishments your reports have assisted with, perhaps with a private spot on your profile where you can see the total number of cases you've helped with. While I suspect there are some who would try to find ways to abuse this, I think the overall benefit in reminding people that the system does work would be helpful, as the feeling that your concerns are lost in the system is one that I see a lot of people share.

Positive

The amount of champion that I can play in each role without being at an extreme disadvantage has drastically increased since I start playing around Thresh release and that is very nice to see.

Negative

I would say this biggest negative that has been plaguing this game for a while is that AP Fighters do not really have any items to build. They do not have items that allow them to be played as Fighters. Most AP Fighters either are played as full tanks or as assassins. This is mainly because of the lack of itemization. Meddler has recently said that Riot has also for the time being given up on working on AP Fighter items. That is an extreme negative IMO.

Positive Ranked adding Iron, it helps remove some much needed frustration when playing people not adequate for the higher ranks of bronze, you get matched with similar skill level, maybe 60% or 70% of the time and it just feels like a better experience. Negative Lack of rewards when reaching higher mastery ranks, feels empty and sad when I get one of my champs to mastery 6-7 and not getting anyrhing more than an emote, feels like I just wasted blue essence and energy to get here.... Positive:

Conqueror is now adaptive.

Negative:

The general playerbase's attitude in ranked. It used to be that everyone would try pretty hard for atleast the first 20 minutes and now people just give up after one kill. Also players have lost the ability to play safe and just let their team carry them. Everyone thinks they need to carry every game.

I know I’m gonna get a surprising amount of hate for this...

My positive feedback: How the meta shifted to a more offence-based game but it is slowly shifting the defence back up and scaling down offence.

My negative feedback: The hate for certain champions from other people who don’t know how to play them or against them. Granted, some of them are justified, but others are more “I lost because I sucked so it’s the game’s fault” attitude.

Positive

Lots of champions are viable in every role.

Negative

Jungle exp got nerfed too hard. If you are behind as a jungler you can never catch up and the game feels like a 4v5 for other teammates.

Dr Dog2/25/2019, 5:51:59 PM6 votes

positive

the meta is super open rn and a lot of champions are viable to play in any given role

negative

client issues every patch are piling up and people seem to be getting fed with its apparent lack of up-keep and simple bugs (like kha zix r evolve bug thats been going on upwards onf 4 months now) just get ignored completely with seemingly no attempt to be fixed despite requiring nothing more than a simple hotfix

Positive - One thing that I have been enjoying lately is how well the skins and art team has been doing. While not everything may be suited for my tastes, they have been doing consistent work to make amazing stuff. Both the visual effects of the skins and the splash arts (I appreciate how they listened to community feedback to give Exile Morgana unique particles) have been pretty darn good. An example of some amazing stuff going on is the recent Papercraft skins, which are lovely.

Negative - The challenge of proplay versus regular play is something that has been going on for awhile now. While I usually leave my own comments out about this, it can feel painful to have a champion nerfed heavily just because of proplay (which is more organized compared to solo-que). Naturally, looking at my name, an example of this is Rakan, where he may have needed nerfs, the proplay balancing aspect caused the nerfs to be heavy handed due to the success he had been having. I think there may need to be more communication in ways to properly balance champions with the aspect of proplay. The gameplay posts by Meddler is lovely, but I think perhaps there should be a little bit more communication with the proplay versus normal play, with "This champion is strong in proplay, so we're nerfing them, but how do we make it so that they aren't getting too ruined in regular play". Or something along those lines!

POSTITIVE

i like the champion diversity, the creativity in both mechanics and themes, and the art.

NEGATIVE

I really don't like the feeling that Riot focuses so much on the positive experience of people acting and almost none on the experience of the person being acted upon. Yasuo is a perfect example of this. Yes, you can learn how to play around wind wall and his dash, but where are my mechanics that Yasuo absolutely needs to figure out a counter? Where is my ability that the Yasuo must bait out?

Lord Dominator2/25/2019, 5:21:39 PM5 votes

Positive

I like how people try to make an active effort to better the boards/community. (This post is an example of it). Generally I've seen more people who constitute with helpful and nice posts and I feel like there is less toxicity around the boards.

Negative

I know this doesn't affect the people in NA, but in EUW and in EUNE the prices of RP will increase again on march 5th and I just thought Riot should try to make the prices of older skins fit with the current price system (A lot of 975 rp skins for example are too expensive).

Saezio2/25/2019, 5:42:28 PM5 votes

Positive: The hextech crafting system. I know it has been around for some time now but I am someone that plays a lot but doesn't have budget to spend on my gaming. So being rewarded with goodies that I had absolutely 0 access to prior to the system feels amazing . And especially the way events are tied to free content now via this system. I just love it. before this I had like 2-3 skins that were given after each season for free, sorceress lux sweetheart ashe and one more I think. Now I have 80+ skins :D

Negative: The obscuring nature riot has adopted over some aspects of the game. Mainly the fact that MMR is hidden and to a much lesser extent honour and report system.

Sp33d Zer02/25/2019, 10:10:59 PM4 votes

Mine is more towards the boards itself than the in-game status:

Positive

The league community on the boards is a group that is incredibly passionate about the game both their love for the game and frustrations for the game.

Negative

There is not a GOOD way to cycle between the well constructed posts and the poorly constructed one. The upvote system does not function in the way we intend to and there is no proper way to filter.

General Matty2/25/2019, 5:06:52 PM4 votes

Like: I currently really enjoy the game. I think it's in a good spot with good strides being made.

Dislike: The new Ranked system is absolutely terrible. Enough said. Another thing i dislike is the hatred people show for anything off-meta. People seem to get tilted over anything nowadays.

Moody P2/25/2019, 5:29:57 PM4 votes

positive 1

volibear is good and he hasn't been reworked

negative

tower plating makes me hate this game. If I get counter picked or the jungler sits on me I can get snowballed on hard even if I don't die. Conversely my ability to rack up huge money advantages with Demolish and a decent early push is absolutely disgusting. Not a fan and don't think it should stayin the long run

Myrmiron2/25/2019, 5:30:35 PM4 votes

Oof, old complains incoming:

The good: I still absolutely ADORE the fact that a few patches back they actually buffed AP Malphite! I love playing these crazy off meta builds as long as they can work. Whenever I see a good matchup for it playing AP Malphite is just the funniest thing ever.

The bad: Still, some other off meta build seem to receive very little love. I love bringing back the case of AP Tristana. Before the Tristana rework, literally no one was complaining about her, no one banned her, no one thought she was unfair or anything. Yet for some reason Riot absolutely GUTTED AP Tristana with the Tristana rework, even though they could have easily kept her. Why? I really love playing AP Tristana, even more than I love playing AP Malphite. Same for other champions like AP Rek'Sai or full AD Poppy - supports in particular get a lot of hate from Riot's balancing team. I can understand AP Alistar since he offered little to no counter play, but what about AP Janna? Why is Soraka only allowed a 35% AP ratio on her Q? It really saddens me that Riot doesn't want certain champions to be viable outside the position Riot deems fit for them. I like it better back in the days, when Riot didn't create a champion for a certain position, but rather just created a champion and let the community figure out how and where to play that champion.

The ugly: Pizza feet.

Linna Excel2/25/2019, 5:33:40 PM4 votes

Positive: I like ARAM Negative: I dislike reworks that radically change how a champ looks/plays or deletes skins.

Dimwitt2/25/2019, 7:28:04 PM3 votes

Positive - The character models for the most part have been a significant improvement Negative - The launcher is astronomically slow when it comes to patching and no amount of the Hextech fixing tool can solve this.

Sassmast3r2/25/2019, 9:07:55 PM2 votes

Positives:

  • The client hasn't busplatted/disconnected me (in-game) for 3 years. Ever since the new client came out and they moved the location of the NA server, I have not one time been disconnected from League of Legends while playing. Sure, my ping isn't usually that great, but I've never been more satisfied with how consistent the server is. Back in season 5, I would get a bugsplat at least once every few games, and I would disconnect frequently despite being on a wired connection. This has not happened a single time for me since roughly 2016.

  • From a visual standpoint, I'm very satisfied with "recent" reworks (Swain, Evelynn, Zyra, Warwick, Ezreal, Miss Fortune + Gangplank, etc.). While I don't feel right speaking on their gameplay, they were visually updated with lots of care and effort; look at/listen to Ezreal's animations, Evelynn's voiceover, or Swain's particle effects. These champions all feel modern and as if they have a place in League of Legends, whereas before they felt antiquated and disconnected from the game. To the Rioters that worked on these characters, I think you did an excellent job and you should be proud of the work you published.

Negatives:

  • This problem is not limited to League of Legends, but I feel like the game is taken way too seriously by both the community and Riot. Every time I open the client, LCS players are glaring at me on the front page. When it comes to balancing decisions, changes seem to happen more often in favor of what professional play would be most benefited by, and less often based on how much fun is gained/lost from said changes. I swear, normal matches are played with 10x the amount of effort as they were back in season 5. I used to play off-meta characters/builds without hesitation because I knew (especially late at night) that most of us were just trying to have a fun time; now I feel rude playing off-meta anything, and as if I owe it to my teammates to play at my best in normals. I want to be clear: I have no issue with players who want to play competitively and work their asses off to climb ranks, spending time watching professional players, learning their strategies, and then practicing team comps/builds/characters. However, I now feel trapped to play Howling Abyss with characters I have no interest in using, because if I queue up for normals, I need to chug an energy drink and prepare for war.

  • Karma. I'm completely biased in favor of my main, but please do something with her. Please.

Popperofski2/26/2019, 7:17:27 PM2 votes

Positive: Every single champion I like playing is in a ok to fine or great state. As a top lane / jungler I feel like I can play something besides Gragas and Sion every game

Negative: There are still extreme amounts of hilarious imbalance and blatant bias towards nerfing things that are long overdue for then.

King Braum2/25/2019, 7:49:38 PM2 votes

Positive Riot's work on reworks like Warwick, Sion and more have really helped bring these champion back to life while keeping their core character alive, with changes that translate well with the original character and visual updates that aren't too far away from their original.

Negative A lot of reworks have been moving away from some of the more niche champion types that I've come to love over the years simply because they dont fall in favor with the majority of the playerbase. Ranging from changing the stioc and bruting, monster Galio to a carefree and at times dumb as a rock, Collusus. Changing Urgot from a monstrocity that is barely clinging to life to a fat muscle man with some neat new robot legs and changing Swain to Malfoy from the harry potter series.

I'd argue that yes they are more badass now and appeal to a wider audience though I'd wish Riot would consider in this game of over 140 champion to make more champions that appeal to the few over the many. As someone has pointed out before to me Riot used to design their champions so there was someone for everyone, now every champion is for everyone which makes them blander as a result.

I'd honesly wish they're bring back the Tragic characters like Yorick, the good monstrosities like Galio and the down right deppressing like Maokai. (Seriously, I used to feel terrible for playing Maokai as every single line he spoke made it clear to you that he didn't want to be there and you were forcing him into a fight he had no part in.)

JuiceBoxP2/26/2019, 10:16:32 PM2 votes

Positive New accounts start at the lowest rank possible. God sent change.

Negative

We NEED an early grievous wounds item for AP champions.

Currently, mages/AP scalers struggle really bad with sylas and his high healing because their only grievous wounds options are morello which is a 3k full item.

i often build executioner's calling and end up selling it for morello when i have enough money... but it's not a good build path... i'd much rather buy an item with grievous wounds that will eventually build to morello.

LTK KoRo2/26/2019, 8:47:46 AM2 votes

Positive:

  1. Turret plating existence
  2. Recent reworks are good.
  3. Jungle champions diversity is big (that's not all when it comes to it, go to negatives point 4)
  4. Game length is nearly perfect
  5. Oblivion orb nerfs

Negatives:

  1. We're back to better bot wins meta, yayy
  2. Jungle exp is really bad right now. Jungler usually have same lvl as adc in early-mid game and then falls even lower than him. In some pro games i have seen both jungler and support at same level.
  3. There's no good answer right now to toplane bullies like Jayce or Kennen
  4. All jungle champions are bad. Jungle carries need to jump through much more hoops compared to carries in other roles, tank junglers never get tanky enough to tank enemy laners, and early game junglers have a hard time due to 4 camps to lvl 3 policy
  5. Kalista is played sometimes and Vayne is overbuffed
  6. PD, overheal, legend bloodline and BT combination
Tormentula2/25/2019, 8:13:42 PM2 votes

#Positives;

  • Placements for ranked has improved and communicates much better

  • Autofill is less frequent

  • Game pacing IMO feels great, games where the better team stomps do still end early, but even/smart teams can still stall it out to a late game if they want for a comeback.

  • Tower plating is pretty neat, all of the tower changes in general were nice. Solid preseason as a result.

#Negatives

  • patch 8.10 still left its scars on the jungle which slipperly sloped into even more early game pressure when the changes were meant to delay it, still was never fixed, instead it becomes even more and more pushed into early game with constant XP nerfs to the point farming is pointless.

  • Majority of reworks tend to go for game play satisfaction on the user's end rather then overall game health and long term balance. Irelia, Akali, Galio are prime picks to mention here.

  • Runes Reforged was a failure that hurt diversity for the sake of changing an outdated system, sometimes an outdated system isn't the worst system. Would like to see pre-season 10 potentially look into shifting this into a similar mastery + rune page system with more options in the rune page.

  • Positional ranked resulted in duo abuse and other kinks that makes the ranked system significantly less competitive while hurting players who originally got rewarded for being versitile in multiple roles. Needs reverted.

  • Fuck prestige skins, make prestige eve just to be fair, then stop milking players with them.

  • The company for the last year or two has been whiteknight as fuck to try and appeal to SJWs.

Flashes2/26/2019, 3:05:30 AM1 votes

Positive: The way ranked promotionals are actually done. Starting off at a base rank that's low, but giving you the opportunity to climb back up to your previous rank very fast is a huge boon for me, because I know I'm consistently improving, which helps me, and other people, get to the level they should be at much sooner. Conversely, if someone deserves to be in Bronze IV and loses all 10 other placement games, then they will stay in Bronze IV.

Negative: The splashing and multipositional ranked queue is ruining the Ranked experience, and makes Ranked feel worse despite the ability to potentially climb faster. Seeing someone say "It's literally my first top ranked game stfu" as a 0/6/0 teemo was crushing and the whole game devolved into Jungle, Mid, and Top hurling insults at each other while Support and I tried our best to actually get to late game to win 2v5. Riot thought they were being clever, but there's a much simpler solution, which is to simply remove autofill in lower elos at the very least. That way, there is no "Autofilled into Jungle, enjoy the free loss". Positional Queue was implemented to try and fix that, but really, the solution is so much simpler. Very high elo players can argue amongst themselves if they want an autofill function or not.

Ataraxas2/26/2019, 6:52:22 AM1 votes

Positive: I'm glad they will try out more PvE modes

Negative: Jungle feels really bad to play currently. They need to either rework or buff it, preferably rework (in a buffed state ofc) as the whole iteration of the current jungle is unlikable.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

Positive Honestly, it looks gorgeous. Everything looks sleek and stylish, the animations are whooshy and they make you feel good. Even getting my 19th chest with no keys looks awesome because I get to see the whole box materialize, just build itself right in front of me. Getting a skin, it just zooms out. Everything is coming towards you and it's reminiscent of the Riot Games logo where the fist just punches the shit out of your screen and breaks it, which despite not being outdated it still a point of nostalgia. Even something as simple as queueing up for a game looks awesome, those ranked armors? Daaaamn. The form of the client is stellar.

Negative Unfortunately I have to go in on this one. Functionally, the client is absolutely terrible. Every time the game updates, I need to make a new firewall exception, and so I just have 40-some-odd League firewall exceptions in my settings. This doesn't happen with any other game. Trying to stream it, I can't auto-detect the client, xSplit doesn't recognize it, but it'll find the actual game itself - This wasn't the case with the old client, where they were one and the same. Buttons can just break for no reason, sometimes buttons (like the loot tab) won't even appear. Closing the client doesn't always close the process, meaning opening the client again doesn't work until you go in and close the process, and then sometimes that breaks it back to having to patch again. Sometimes it'll patch indefinitely. The ready-check for joining a game can just stick around forever. It really needs a lot of work for function.

Positive

You guys try to do better. I don't mean that in a typical board "Oh yes let me not totally spite on you" comment, I mean you really try to improve things that you add and not stay in your bubble too much. For example, people suddenly love who kayle was and got on your ass with it, but you really tried to make it better. It won't be perfect, some stuff I can critic you, some stuff I just laugh at how the community act, but I know you do. You finally opened the huge gate of the lore since 2017 and it is awesome, you made more cinematic or animation content, you did super diligent work about balance despite having people shit on you (your work on ADC itemisation was very good, only stormrazor feel too gimmicky in my head but the reast is awesome).

I can really tell that you try to make better process and try to also correct the error that said process bring (Skins not being totally in synch with splashart, changing the way you get the new "chromas" skin so it isn't as "whale producing" as before, some skins loosings VFX in VGU, the way you handle balance).

Continu, I really feel that even if the community stay the bunch of little biatch it is, you are getting better at improving yourselves, reaching them WHILE not indulging them in their BS (But I still hate you all for reverting LB).

Negative

Some itemisation feel stale while some item clearly can break a champion/class. It is very problematic at time for Riot because a class or a champion can get too strong because of its interaction with a specific item or how an item improve so much a class or cover its weakness that it make the class mandatory/the item a must buy. I am not a mage circlejerk but I still feel that flat magic pen/tankier AP items could need at least some light work.

In and out, I don't mean that badly but I don't think items are work on as much as they should and that sometime Riot end up in many problems or having to handle a lot of rant because of itemisation. Many people talk about Yasuo, about assassins, about this, about that... But I really feel itemisation is a key point that could really use more interesting active without contributing to make frontloaded damage. It is better to have items that help a playstyle (getting in, having stronger peel, enhancing an ally) or create a moment than just making someone VERY strong without much into it (spear of shojin, how duskblade frontloaded a lot while having vision denying tactic, zhonya having a low CD way back, old abyssal scepter, DFG, IE increasing damage too much). I think it is better than an item give a nice damage boost BUT give a good/strong active than just BIG damage boost or insane active along with good stat.

Or some items are too gimmicky. Stormrazor really is and if it wasn't for RFC interaction, it wouldn't be built at all.

Nekobot2/26/2019, 8:33:38 PM1 votes

Positive Love the PvE events like SG and Odyssey, it gives league more things to do besides SR

Negative Wish Riot gives some love to 3v3. Due to the lack of popularity, right now with its current state you're either stomping the enemies or the enemies stomping you, and the rewards for playing rank 3v3 does not feel meaningful sure you get a chroma/icon but other than it feels rather dull

Ozzie Storm2/27/2019, 1:37:07 AM1 votes

Positive:

  1. PVE modes are better than ever
  2. Loving the creativity behind the new characters in terms of design and lore.
  3. Quotes triggering upon 1st time facing related enemy, genius idea.
  4. The high chance that riot will change Mecha Kha'Zix's recall after reading my awesome suggestion below ;D

Negative:

  1. Ban system not effective/ threatening enough thus toxic people and trolls don't feel threatened on the idea of getting punished.
  2. Damage is too high across the board.
  3. Yasuo's kit is extremely unfun to play against. Feels like a chore more than any other enemy.
  4. The recall of Mecha Kha'Zix isn't him turning into a motor bike like COME ON DX
Inkling Commando2/27/2019, 2:58:34 AM1 votes

positive 1: the wide variety of skins keeps games fresh so you don't have the same look every time. 2: the lore on some (not all) of the champions are very detailed and provide a great backstory to read and learn about. 3: constant updates keep the game alive. (alibit they are minor but they are constant)

Negative

1: support team takes too long in replying to support tickets (when i sent one in it took 2 days in between replies) 2: the staff should review reports manually and not rely on an automated system. (an easy way to do this is to actually play the game itself. seriously you can't play one game and not encounter a: troll, flamer, or feeder.) 3: make ranked play actually worth it. don't offer a lame skin and icon. actually put RP on the line. that'll give incentive to play ranked. 4: (minor) missed opportunities with skins (Kandy Kayn, Autumn/Redwood Ivern, Cowboy/Prospector Kled)

Illabethe2/25/2019, 11:55:50 PM1 votes

You actually expect positive feedback on a report system where there's none to give? News Flash: Those who send behavior reports are usually offenders themselves, so although they frequently get that little message that says "Your feedback was helpful," they really have no reason to celebrate because they are guilty of some other form of report cause. No one in this game is innocent. Some take out their frustrations griefing. Others get verbal. Others just play "Enough" to look like a bad player but take solace that whatever their team did to piss them off...... resulted in a loss.

I just got 3 behavior feedback reports yesterday out of 8 games. Guess what? I'm currently on a 25 game chat restriction, dropped from a 65% win rate to a 55% winrate because every single team has 2-3 outright trolls.

You expect positive feedback? Hire positive players, because very few exist, even if they pretend to be.

That being said (and probably removed, even if honest)

Positive: The Position Ranking actually encourages climbing more than any other previous incarnation of the ranking system. It allows fill players to gradually rise in all roles, based on how well the average. It allows one tricks to rise based on their skill.

Negative: Riot has been implementing itemization changes without considering the fact that they already tuned runes to proxy as a 7th item or better, or the buffs they made to champions to compensate for one patch, when reverting in another. For example, no adc has lost the buffs they received for the IE change, and this is resulting in extremely lopsided games where the adc who wins the 50/50 bot lane gambit just dominates the rest of the game, while the loser never gets that opportunity to get back in.

I love cowboys2/26/2019, 12:15:48 AM1 votes

Positive: New conqueror feels fantastic and well balanced (aside from a few abuse cases). As a Renekton player, I actually feel like I have some real agency in the game again, and I become the midgame monster my champion was meant to be. Establishing a lead on him now actually feels like being ahead, Renekton gets the agency that I feel like he's lost in recent years, and when you teamfight when your whole build comes together everything just feels so right. I can't stop playing him now since new conq came out, I love it.

Negative: I'm really not a fan of how visual updates completely alter skin appearances, and it's even worse when the theme is changed completely. This was a big problem I had with the Evelynn update, and now I see a lot of Morgana's skins went through the same thing. I don't want to call it a ripoff, since I don't regret buying those skins and enjoyed them during the time I had them, but it isn't a great feeling when the skins I liked get changed from the ground up.

Altonius Amakiir2/26/2019, 12:21:35 AM1 votes

Positives:

  • It's nice to hear that Riot has been thinking about ways to deal with trolling better. In fact it's nice to see the response/talk on pain points in general. Not something I would have expected, or even bothered hoping for a year ago.

  • The balance changes lately have been, for the most part, rather quick and to the point. It doesn't feel like people are being left horrifically unbalanced for long periods overall.

Negatives:

  • Rather annoying how much resources the client consumes even on low-spec. For reference, I have a gaming desktop and I can't run anything else graphically (for instance youtube) while using the client (queuing up, champion select, searching the shop, opening loot).

  • Nasus in my elo feels unbeatable, as it seems that both playing as or against it doesn't matter how times the Nasus dies in lane, if he just ignores and farms he still becomes a monster late game. On the same note the BorK+Guinsou+true damage autos (Vayne and Master Yi) feels like you can't do anything to build against it. The lack of counterplay at my elo for these three is rather annoying and I would be really happy to see changes addressing these.

Positive: The game is more stable than it's ever been since pre season 6. Allot of the champions who were forced out of the meta are viable once again (JUNGLE TANKS ARE BACK BBY). While there're still outliers as there always are, they're far more manageable than other monsters of recent years. Seeing significantly more variety in top/mid/jungle which is spicing up regular play. A few lucian/zyra/brand nerfs and bot lane should open up significantly

Negative: Favoured/LCS centric/questionable balance changes: A recent example being vayne for questionable as now not only is she extremely good at chasing, but is now ridiculously frustrating to catch. The ultimate change kind of came out of no where, with little logical reasoning behind it. It didn't appear to be because she was struggling, it was a " spicy buff" for the sake of buffing. Recently yasuo (only partially reverted) displaying favouritism as he really should've had his changed completely reverted. A more distant example is pre worlds balancing (lee sin and ahri). And the previous crushing of champions (often tanks like nautilus, sejuani, zac, ornn, pre RW nunu, maokai) due to their pro play performance, which has generally not hindered their presence until their utility is hit, decimating the champion.

Changing champions of frustration for the better benefits both the mains and the opponents. The mains champ goes down in ban rate, because they're more enjoyable to play against. It's positives through and through While slowing down on the pro play crushing, prevents champions being eradicated from the casual play meta

Positive

I'm still able to have fun playing my favorite champions in normal games, i feel like in most cases the game hasn't really pushed any of them out, i can still build effectively on them, take runes that feel good on them and still do well. (Ahri, Evelynn and Neeko)

Negative

Some champions seem to be obviously better than other's though, i remember when i started playing the gap between a high tier champion and a mid tier champion wasn't as high. It feels like if i'm playing a jungle champion that's not meta and the enemy picks a top tier jungler i almost always have to deal with that champion being fed. It also seems like champions that are high tier tend to stay there for a long time before someone finally nerfs them, and that a lot of champions tend to be affected by recent inclusions of new runes, items and mechanic changes a lot more than other's. All the new items, runes and mechanics since pre-season has made the rate of change feel really fast and some of these champions have been really strong for a really long time with nothing done to fix them because of a lot of these changes, it feels like riot can't keep up with the changes they've been making.

Positive: The positional ranking is actually good and I like it. Being able to see that I'm a terrible top laner and better at support helps.

Negative: Riot completely abandoned Twisted Treeline, I liked playing it but it's so imbalanced and I can't play ranked solo. It also feels weird to play a game full of bot accounts because so very few people play it now, I really want to but it's just not being pushed anymore.

Since I'm a rebel I'm going to put another positive and negative.

Positive: The lore is cool as fuck and all champions in the past 3-4 years have contained some of the best reading I've indulged in in a while.

Negative: I want to be mad about how LP works, but I can't because there's nothing to read about how it works. I get a general idea of how MMR and stuff works but It's sort of just guessing and when things don't match up I have no clue what's going on. Basically, I want more information on it.
