I feel like if Akali needs a buff after this W nerf, this could be a decent idea.

So i've noticed that Akali being nerfed has been pretty vocal as of recent due to the fact her winrate isn't that good. Issue is that how her kit is designed its not easy to just slot, lets just say, a heal on her passive if you hit an enemy with that auto. You gotta consider many situations around that, especially when Gunblade is in the mix and/or that Akali is snowballing. On one hand you want her to make the most out of that lead, but at the same time you want to give the enemy a chance at beating her if she messes up.

So instead of doing buffs like that, I have a decent suggestion that might help with getting those Assassin Mark autos off better: Shrinking the passive circle from 500 to around 450/425/400 (Level 1/8/13). I could shrink it more, but at the same time I also dont want to make it just easy as hell to get off. Shrinking this could help her in situations where the circle interferes with that clutch moment in shroud where you need that auto to kill someone to survive, but the circle forces you to come out of shroud and die if you want that auto.

I want to hear from people who play Akali, main her, etc. Does this sound like a decent buff? I would suggest more, but it would require a good chunk of time digging into her kit power and stuff, but willing if you guys request as such (I did a post like it when % Armor Pen was absurdly strong since its change in 8.11 but people were still calling it weak (the bonus to total affected more than just items, people glossed that detail over pretty hard)).

EDIT: Also, if you are gonna downvote, i'd rather have you not just downvote it and be on your way, i'd rather hear what you have to say about it with your downvote.

I actually kind of like the idea. I've noticed that when trying to hunt someone down with my ult, I proc the passive, but I can rarely capitalize on it. Having a smaller ring would make it easier to engage, pop the buff, run back and smack, E, re-cast and pop the buff, then ult-execute. That said, I do think Akali needs a heal back on her Q. It wasn't so bad when it only affected casts when she had a certain energy cost, because you knew that she would only get it when poking, and it might give Akali players a reason to back off and play passive or focus on minions, rather than diving hard 24/7.

Issue is if she has sustain back on Q, you wouldn't be able to keep her out of lane. If anything it could be put on Q, but just be a flat amount. The bigger issue is how strong her AD power is compared to her AP. I'd bring up my suggestions, but that requires people wanting to read about that.

That's what it used to be, wasn't it? Besides that, the other requirement was something like 80% Energy. which might be a problem if she had a pool like Shen's, but hers is pretty small and one Q was enough to force her to think about when to cast and when to engage.

What about a different change, then? Make it so that she uses more energy on her abilities, but gets energy back by dealing damage to enemy Champions/Large and Epic Monsters. Gives her more risk/reward, and opens her up to being back in the jungle.

I feel like that issue could be tackled once you do something about her sustain build. As it stands right now, out of the question.

I think that having the passive's size be reduced would just decrease the amount of counterplay to Akali. Having her come out of shroud is good for auto attacking champions that can try and force her to become vulnerable. If she just stays in shroud the whole time then she can wack away and barely take damage from someone like Tryndamere. That's just what I see, but I am fine with trying it and seeing how it actually would play out. Could be nice but I don't really feel like Akali is the most stable when it comes to buffing and nerfing, and I don't want her to be in the state she was in when she first got reworked. I love the champion but when I feel like there is an advantage because of how strong Akali is I don't get the same satisfaction playing her, so I just go and play other champions.

Thing is it decreases at level 8 and level 13, so during the lane phase it will be smaller than live by about 50 units. I'm just trying to buff her late game.
