I'm Tired of Assassins [Item Suggestions]

Right now, assassins tend to make up a rather large percentage of picks with things like immobile AoE mages not being as frequently chosen. Personally, I'm not a fan of the lack of pick diversity, particularly in mid lane (where I spend most of my time). It occurred to me, however, that the problem is systematic. I have no qualms with assassins being legitimate picks, but I do have an issue with them dominating the picks. As such, the solution seemed natural: itemization options. What follows are a few items that I believe would help the current state of the game in terms of champion diversity.

Diplomat's Cloak: 1200 Gold (Ruby Crystal(400) + Ruby Crystal(400) + 400 Gold) +380 Health UNIQUE PASSIVE: Puncture-Proof: single-target abilities against this unit deal 8% reduced damage.

Imperial Robes: 3400 Gold (Diplomat's Cloak(1200) + Giant's Belt(1000) + Negatron Cloak(850) + 350 Gold) +700 Health +45 MR UNIQUE PASSIVE: Puncture-Proof: single-target abilities and basic attacks against this unit deal 12% reduced damage. UNIQUE PASSIVE: Tenacity: CC reduced by 35%

Magus Robe: 3200 Gold (Diplomat's Cloak(1200) + Blasting Wand(860) + Blasting Wand(860) + 280 Gold) +400 Health +100 AP UNIQUE PASSIVE: Puncture-Proof: single-target abilities against this unit deal 10% reduced damage.

Diffusion Ring: 900 Gold (Amplifying Tome(435) + 465 Gold) +10% CDR UNIQUE PASSIVE: Diffusion: Ranged AoE Magic abilities deal 7% more damage.

Diffusion Amulet: 2900 Gold (Diffusion Ring(900) + Needlessly Large Rod(1600) + 400 Gold) +90 AP +20% CDR UNIQUE PASSIVE: Diffusion: Ranged AoE Magic abilities deal 15% more damage

The first three aren't items that you'd need to buy every game. Indeed, I doubt that you'd need to as I believe their mere existence will be sufficient to drop the percentage of assassin picks. The latter two may prove to be unnecessary additions, but in the event that the first three would disqualify too many assassins from being effective, I believe the Diffusion items could at least help immobile mages. Yes, the implementation of the Diffusion items would probably require a Xerath nerf. But nerfing one champion and implementing two items is a lot easier than having to go through and rebalance several champions.

Thoughts?

I dislike the last 2. Immobile mages don't need those imo, especially since it's basically a large buff to just the select few that would buy it. Not mobile enough? bring ghost

Let's not give most champions who want it 12% damage reduction against at least half of the enemy team, k.

but in the event that the first three would disqualify too many assassins from being effective, I believe the Diffusion items could at least help immobile mages.

Also, who is this half? Auto-attacks are only shielded by the super-tank item and many supports would be unaffected. Fighters would be minorly impaired. Assassins would be the only hard ones hit, but again, that was kind of the point.
