I think Sion passive is the only passive that helps the enemy team

FireDrizzle··23 votes·12,057 views

I cant think what else will start helping the enemy team but not you at all. At a certain point base damages fall off and an adc can heal while face tanking Sion passive. If riot dont want too buff the passive lategame they should stop it being lifestealed from. Yes you can build grievous wounds but you are still going too heal the enemy adc late. The passive is pretty nuts early game with glacial so it could do with a power shift.

Sure they give a small amount of gold but...

Units like Malzahar Voidlings, Zyra Plants and Heimerdinger turrets do not count towards cs numbers.

Friendly reminder that you farm for the gold, not for the numbers.

Reminds me the video. Old Nasus stays on lane thinking about the enemy, then sets the "stack timer" on his staff to 20 minutes.

Enemy Yorick arrives. Stack timer set to 15 minutes instead.

Zyra and Heimer unites are significantly sturdier than the useless voidlings, and they do more damage to boot.

All Malzahar is good for until he gets 4+ items is his ult, and that's nullified by anyone with enough neurons to buy QSS early. Especially AD champs who can build into scimitar and get stats out of QSS unlike AP champs who have to just sit on it.

but they count for overgrowth ;) Also if you Q with GP it's tons of gold. turning 2 to way greater numbers

Anything that results in things still being alive after the Summoning; be it accidentaly wasting Passive, putting Tibbers in the wrong place, not having the right items/Runes. He does very little after the initial AoE I find

or just get rid of lifesteal ''but muh harras in lane'' yeah welcome to having to deal with harras in lane, it's called not being a champion that uses lifesteal.

Even seen some people say ''but what if they take heavy damage late game and now they can't fight because they are too damaged'' maybe do the same thing mages and non lifesteal champions do, either a. don't take such damage in the 1st place or b. recall to base

Lovelle1 votes

Not until they reduce damage across the board, along with grievous wounds. Building lifesteal is literally the only way I can stay alive late game as Trundle.

Since most players are stacking penetration items, and stacking pure resists alone is useless on juggs, sustain is the only reliable way to mitigate damage output right now.

Stacking damage alone only goes so far on immobile melee champs.

Saezio1 votes

Gotta love ulting aftershocked people. Putting sejuani to negative resistance numbers is so awesome :D

He still zones everyone away from him after death, if the enemy adc is focusing on a literal corpse instead of actual threats just to life steal, then he isnt damaging your allies.

You soak damage and aggro even after death, which is a tank's job.

Z3Sleeper2 votes

The reason for this is the fact that those autos deal your attack damage as well as the % health. It will always do more damage relative to the opponent's health bar early when players have less health so your flat attack damage is doing more (ofc armor and lifesteal play a part too).

But this problem never occurs for AD Sion since he builds more AD which is taken into account for his passive autos.

It's a trade-off he pays for going tank vs damage. No ADC is gonna sit there and drain-tank a bruiser/full AD Sion passive, especially the latter lethality version.

Also tank Sion will still take more hits to go down in his passive state, meaning that's still time where the ADC is focusing you if he's doing what you say he is and not your allies.

Ad Sion does nothing with the passive lategame.

Lategame an adc can draintank bruiser sion passive easily.

Z3Sleeper1 votes

Maybe with 1.2k+ crits on every auto + 20% lifesteal while Sion has 0 armor built.

Bruiser Sion is dealing an extra 200+ on each auto.

Lethality Sion is dealing the above plus an extra ~30% total damage.

FireDrizzle2 votes

I know for a fact bruiser sion can be facetanked, I was a Sion main.

Flawless Fetus4 votes

Then you must have been a bad one.

Light Burner3 votes

Crits will never deal 1.2k dmg unless amped by something else. (4th shot jhin, headshot cait, or something else regardless bruiser sion can not be face tanked and lifestolen on.)

Shyvana passive makes your jungler actually take drakes to deny them from shyvanna so thats a buff to your team

Teriyaki Bukkake1 votes

You've gotta pick a target with sions passive though, and it cant be the ADC during the late game. The best time for your passive is the thick of the fight later on, if you have mallet to make yourself a threat in those 5 or so seconds. Sometimes I even target tankier champs if I know I can get some good hurt onto them, or make them use a cooldown just to escape/save hp. Sion passive isn't really to get kills unless you build ad

Then again, his passive is wasted if you get hit by one slow, so i still see your point

FireDrizzle1 votes

Those passives that can benefit the other team also have a purpose for the player, unlike Sion passive lategame.

Bob the Toastr1 votes

Honestly sion passive needs some serious tenacity lategame. A single Thresh can absolutely ruin your sion passive.

Hypochondria91 votes

I don't mind his passive, if your team actually continues to fight and not bail on you. The damage never seemed low but you are very easy to kite. I definitely never had a ADC face tank me, kite me to death yes, but never stand there and take hits.

Jerry SeinfeId1 votes

nah. no way and adc is just facetanking you unless they're at 6 items and you're not.

Especially not lethality sion, sure you can be kited but that's something else all together. and honestly if you're lethality sion, it should be a 4v5 after your ult anyway.

Go in practise tool or play a lot of sion untill it comes up.

Lategame lethality sion does pathetic damage with passive, it's surpising, but it is the case. A lot of games wont last this long but Sions passive shouldnt be existing at any point just too give dark harvest procs or keep stacking effects stacked etc.
