Kindred thoughts
Ok so having played them quite a bit lately I am feeling like I am getting a better feel for the champion. People call them a "feast or famine" champion, but honestly this champion brings a whole new meaning to that phrase. Every other feast or Famine champion has a way to come back into the game if the team can stall the game out long enough, or can even build items and be still some what relevant as long as they can get enough gold. This is not Kindred. If Kindred does not get early stacks they are 100% out of the game, they are better off sitting afk then stealing their teams farm or trying to contribute in any way because they will literally feed less, and gold is 100% meaningless to them if they dont get their passive stacks. Further because their passive stacks can only happen if you get a kill or assist on some one that you have marked (so in the mid to end game you basically have to guess who is going to be the dumb dumb that gets caught out and hope that it isnt some one different every time since when you mark some one they usually have half a brain to start playing a little safer) if you are behind the other stacks might as well not exist since you can not get to the enemy jungle any way. Further none of the items they seem to want to build make any sort of sense.
As a Jungler you basically have 2 options for AD, either warrior. which has 45 AD that you dont care about since your skills have abysmal ad ratios 10% CD Reduction that you MOSTLY dont care about and 10 Armor pen which you care about, but only because you have the massive additional weakness of all your abilities doing nothing but physical damage. Basically you like armor pen as a means to remove your weakness IF and only IF you actually get your stacks. Or Devourer, which you only care about really cus the attack speed. Kindred DOESNT like on hit effects because they 100% lack any kind of attack speed steroid, most characters that like On hit effects have this steroid to allow themselves to get more off, but the only thing kindred likes about on hit effects is all of the attack speed items come with them, so they are forced into it rather then having what they would truly prefer just ad and attack speed, or just pure attack speed. They also dont care about crit because again none of their abilities can crit (as far as I know their Passive doesnt crit either, but I could be wrong) so what you are left with is a champion that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcE1u2fAkRY.
Further I feel 6 stacks is not "feast" status, but for the most part you need at least 8 to feel like you have a good number of stacks. The fact that kindred only scales with stacks is honestly a big problem in my opinion. Its ok when your stacks supplement your items, but when you require them to scale at all, and they are literally the easiest things to deny, you have a champion that has 0 control of how well they do or dont do. They require their team to be better then the enemy to help them get stacks, so basically any other champion would do better then Kindred. Kindred will not be something that can make a difference early game where you couldnt with other better champions, and if they got their stacks early game it is only because of the better competence of their team and the less competence of the enemy team, which means again you would have won regardless of Kindred. If both teams are even, then Kindred is a massive hindrance compared to other junglers that have stronger ganks or more reliable late games that dont require them to make risky plays to make it there. Ultimately Kindred has unreliable means to get to late game, weak ganks, low movement speed, low range, and terrible item scaling. The only "advantage" they have is 100% reliant on their team being better then their enemy team and as such the advantage would have existed with litterally any other carry champion.
Kindred may very well be the most unreliable and weakest jungler I have ever played (I am fairly new so the only ones i have played are...Yi, Warwik, Udyr, Trundle, Gragas, Malphite, Amumu, Sejuani, and tried Urgot.. though I think Urgot may beat Kindred in "terribad in jungle")
Yes I am salty :P, but seriously I love Kindred, they are an awesome champion they have a cool play style and they have a cool lore, cool sound quality and I love their concept, their Ult seems fair it can save you or screw you so that is probably one of the most balanced aspects of them. So far if they end up putting a cap on how much their passive does to neutral monsters I feel it would litterally kill Kindred as being at all viable, but they are fun, their just needs to be an easier way to get stacks, or better scaling, or better range and movement speed, they are honestly just very weak, be it on my team or the enemies unless you are fighting inferior opponents it is way to easy to shut them completely down.
Just think about how many times you have seen posts about people banning Kindred just to hope they dont get them on THEIR team.
