CST Shrimp's Display Shows What's Wrong with Control Jungling Right Now

CST Shrimp is playing Nunu right now against NME and he flat out cannot catch a break. He's counter jungling as hard as possible but the enemy Elise is not only getting more successful lane pressure but is not falling behind in CS at all. Riot stated that the correct way to deal with a jungler who is ganking a lot is to try and deny them XP and gold through counterjungling, but when they give ganking junglers kits that practically guarantee them kills every time they gank, as well as a targeted ms steal that deals true damage at range on a 15 second cooldown, and then also reduce the XP the jungle gives "to encourage junglers to visit their lanes for some full XP every now and then", then you see the real issue. Control jungling does nothing that Riot stated it should.

This should be fixed. At this point, invading the enemy jungle consistently poses more risk than ganking and has a consistently lower reward.

Wards. You don't like getting ganked? Ward so you can safely leave before the gank happens. Warding isn't just about quantity, you also need quality.

That's not the point of his post.

....Ignoring for the moment that not every gank is preventable by wards (Rek'sai ultimate, Pantheon ultimate, Rammus Q, Hecarim Teleport + Homeguard, Zac E over the jungle wall, Shen ult, Tahm Kench ult, Twisted Fate ult), the point is that ganking is very reliable right now, partly because Riot gives ganking junglers very reliable crowd control and partly because Chilling Smite is unbalanceable. Even after being nerfed three times it's still dominating the meta.
