Does Riot still think Ashe is in an okay spot?
I won't say why I'm asking this; too many people would jump down my throat over it. But for the Riot team, what's your opinion on Ashe right now?

Ashe is a very strong carry that offer´s a lot of control in a fight and one of the best initiation-tools in the game. THough they sure could make the passive more usefull in fights, she really doesn´t need much of a buff.
Ashe is decent as long as the team comp supports her. She provides a ton of utility to the team. The only problem with her is that she doesn't feel impactful and her passive doesn't feel like much. She just needs a little push to be on par with other popular adcs but then again, ashe everygame wouldn't be that fun.
She's in kogs position, no escapes and low mobility. The only difference is that kog is a hypercarry while ashe only provides utility. Her lack of damage in exchange for utility makes her extremely team comp oriented.
ultess you will go shiw + runaans and abuse the slowing storm
As my most effective champ i would say she is what every other ADC should be.Weak to gapclosers but deals "huge" amount of dmg over time if left alone.
Her kit is well constructed all around. Shows that she is still viable after years of no big changes. The problem is other AD carries have more dmg packed into their kit while hardly using mana and they are actually mobile. lucian, tristana, caitlyn, hell even kogmaw is fast as hell with a trinity.
Changes that could work in her kit are the following:
Volley resetting auto attack, faster Volley animation on cast and faster projectile speed. I think this change would give that little more oomph she needs.
Other change that would add more dmg/utility is some kind of interaction between an ulti stunned enemy champion and Volley. Ulti someone, shoot Volley --> something awesome happens. This could be more dmg, more slow, whatever.
*Another thing i could see on her passive is: She will build the stacks as now BUT in addition when she critically strikes she will gain an extra amount of stack. Other one is: on kills or assissts Ashe's next attack will critically strike.
There now her passive is actually useful.*
Also fix Volley already going through units randomly doing nothing.
My main gripe with Ashe is that she doesn't do anything. If we get jumped by the jungler and she's 6+, she can maybe land an arrow on him and stun him, then proceeds to AA.
If I land a playmaking CC on a key target and she's 6+, she can maybe land an arrow on him and stun him, then proceeds to AA. If the enemy team is at dragon and she's 6+, she can maybe land an arrow on him and stun him, then proceeds to AA. If she's winning a duel and she's 6+, she can maybe land an arrow on him and stun him, then proceeds to AA. If she's losing a duel and she's 6+, she can maybe land an arrow on him and stun him, then proceeds to AA.
There is literally no choice in Ashe's kit, all you do is AA, AA further/wider or use your ultimate.
Yep. Boring stuff right there.
Ashe needs to be more interesting. Otherwise I can only imagine that Tryndamere married her for her sex appeal. XD
THIS. But, something i want to note is that ashe's passive is very un-adc-like. It relies on her not aaing to get a stronger aa. I see this as a reason that support ashe could be a thing but there is no role that ad supports fit in very well. I feel like she might need some changes to stay in line with other adcs
I wish they'd buff something about her. Her lack of mobility makes her REALLY vulnerable in lane, and your entire team comp needs to be built around her to be successful with her (which is hard to do in solo-queue). She lacks a steroid like Tristana, or massive range like Caitlyn. Either give her a usable passive or buff her damage so she can make it through laning phase properly. With everyone having a dash nowadays she just really needs something to set her apart.
Her passive definitely needs a change. It's current iteration is just plain stupid. Essentially, you gain stacks, which do nothing, for doing nothing. That's fun gameplay. Especially as an ADC, who's fucking only purpose in life is to attack shit. WTF was Riot even thinking? Honestly, Ashe might as well not even have a passive, since 90% of the time if you're doing what you should be doing as an ADC, her passive gives literally zero benefits. It has 0 gold value. If anything it is detrimental, as it promotes a poor style of play.
At the VERY LEAST they need to change it so that you gain stacks every second since you last critically hit. That way there is only a little bit of downtime to gaining stacks, rather than, ya know, most of the game. It would actually be a decent buff to her early game, before she has much crit chance; and only a small change during late game when she will be getting quite a lot of crits anyway, so the passive will still be "down" quite a bit.
A lot of people suggest changing her Q to a self-buff. The problem I have with that is that it would reduce ability diversity in the game. Tons of other ADC's already have self-buffs, Ashe's on-hit toggle is actually unique in the game, and I like that. It might need some changes, but nothing as major as altering its functionality.
In a day and age where almost ever widely played champion has a gap closer, it's really hard for a champion like Ashe, who is supposed to be squishy, to be played effectively. Personally, I wish less champions had gap closers but at this point she needs to have something too. The other adcs with no literal gap closers are Jinx, Varus, and Urgot. Urgot isn't played because he needs to be tanky-ish because of his short range, lack of mobility, and confusion on his ultimate. Jinx is played a little more because of her passive allowing her to have SOME sort of mobility (massive speed boost). Varus is in the same position as Ashe, stuck in a spot where other adcs outclass them. In SoloQ, it's more of an every man for themselves kind of game when it comes down to it, so if you don't have players in a helpful composition to you, you'll likely die easily every fight.
My biggest problem with Ashe as a carry, is that she has too much utility. Utility is great and all, but having way too much is kinda ridiculous, I mean lets look at this. Her passive gives her a 100% crit on a basic attack, but you have to wait for that to build up, and most of the time, you use it on a minion during laning phase, because the other adc doesn't have to get close because they have a gap closer, and as much utility has ashe has, she has nothing to help her gap close/escape like Lucian/Caitlyn/Sivir/Tristana etc,. Now a bigger issue for me is her ult, its a giant arrow, fine, no problem, I can deal, its the fact that it goes off AP that really gets me pissed off. Varus Q does more damage than an Ashe ult. In fact, Id be fine with making her arrow be a 1-2 second stun, if it could scale off AD. She just has WAY too much utility for her own good, I also don't find adc as fun, because most adcs who build crit and attack speed with a tiny bit of lifesteal, will destroy, and I personally hate having crit chance in a game, because EVERYONE has to have it, if you dont, you lose, if you do, then your equal unless your opponent doesn't have it. I don't do adc because there is little to no variation in what to build, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, attack speed, some more lifesteal/attack speed, We see very little use of items like Guinsoos Rageblade, by the way, AD teemo with Guinsoos Rageblade, get the hell out with that, thats not even fair. But yeah, too much utility, no gap close, makes Ashe a want to be good adc, but I can't do it.
Ashe being very basic in mainly relying on AA actually makes some sense when she is a 450 champ and supposed to be pretty simple for newer players, though I will agree a new passive or some sort of rework to the passive would be nice. Plus when you figure when just starting out, there are not too many junglers while leveling up the account in the very early stages so lack of an escape is not as crippling at the starting level of play while still getting some of the basics of the game down.
She's surprisingly still viable, however I'm in Bronze so I assume my opinion wouldn't matter much here. But if you allow an Ashe to get fed, she can crit you down so fast. I was playing Nasus top and barely was able to shut her down because of her having no deaths and plenty of kills. But overall an update would be nice. Her E grants gold, W is a slow, Q helps out more and is practically useless most of the time. and her ult is a good cc. I mean, it's not much, but I'd definitely change the Q to at least add some dmg instead of just a slow.
I'd fix her by having her passive stack up 5 every second (so every 20 secs you auto crit) and either change how her q is handled or her e to something different. I don't find hawkshot very useful aside from checking dragon or baron. I'd rather put the gold passive onto her q, keep the slow on her q and change her e to something that would be more useful like a bleed or be some sort of gap closer similar to nautilus's q, tie rope to her arrow and if you land it on a champion you pull them closer to you, prolly bad on an adc but it might not be.
She seems to be exactly what they game needs. She's a choice. She takes longer to build up to high damage, but she consistently delivers on team utility. The guaranteed crit is a massive advantage in level 1 engages. If you pay attention, you notice that her passive starts building from her current crit chance, so increasing her crit chance means less wait time to fill her passive. you'll also notice that if you attack before her passive fills, it simply goes on hold. So you can pause your assault on minions now and then to add a few points and, when you're ready to dive the enemy, you just wait a couple seconds to fill the last couple percent and open with Volley into automatic crit.
She can kite like no one's business. She is difficult to escape from once she's pegged you with a couple frost arrows, and her ult stuns longer the further out you are, which adds skill to using her.
She's an excellent starting champ for new players because she is very straight forward with no erratic movements that would make her hard to track in combat (hard for the one playing her). She has excellent scaling without being overpowering at any point in the game and she promotes team strategy.
Personally, I say don't change a thing.
