Actually, Kat is banned because she is the best pub stomper for solo queue when being played by a more skilled player than everyone else in the game. Boosters run Kat every game they can because a D1/Masters/Challenger Kat player can snowball harder than they can on any other champion. So beginning and end of every season she has a 100% ban rate, it gets a little lower mid season as less people are buying boosts.

Anywhos, she has classic pub stomper snowball champion problems. If she gets too far ahead it is impossible to stop her because she can instakill everyone on your team. She is already far too weak to get play in the pro scene. So if Riot wants to balance to the high end, she needs buffs. But if Riot wants to protect solo queue, especially low ranked solo queue, she needs nerfs.

It is a sad state to be in.

CC his a good counter, but the real problem is the speed of animations: Do you remember when rengar was invisible from the beginning of the jump so you didn't have the time to react?? With her, we have the same problems. Did you know that if you are good and you have a good ping can kill people on the brink of the spawn without taking the agro of the tower of the spawn? Think what a player can do against her if she has snowballed

I ban Kat mostly because the Sej-Kat "combo" is getting really fuckin old.

Because it's still Solo Queue, coordination is almost non existent outside of duos so it's really hard to CC her. Especially in Korea where everybody is a god compared to us and always does everything perfectly.

because it's korean solo q? A champ could be perfectly balanced in NA and horribly unblanced in EU, China, or Korea. The reason being that champ balace is usually dictated by the current meta at that time.

Oh, one more little insight: Kat used to have one less damage skill, and her ult did more damage. Riot remade her to get rid of this, because they thought it was unhealthy to have so much damage rolled into one skill. What they ended up doing was making her resets give her more damage on each reset because she had a third damage skill to add to the combo while making her ult less powerful.

I personally think she would be in a less strong position if they moved back to her old kit. For one, if you do interrupt her ult she would deal significantly less damage which is a bonus for counterplay. For two, it means that when she does get a kill or assist she is less likely to deal enough damage with her basic skills to bounce around the entire team killing everyone. More counterplay, less likely to instakill people on reset.

But, who knows what Riot's plans are.

well i mean vi and j4 have ridiculously high ban rates too, and assuming that all koreans are better than every other country is stereotypical, they have a different meta then other regions.
