New machete screwed over every jungler that isn' an AA (excluding fiddle)

Seriously the reason the old machete worked was because it allowed all jungers to just deal increased damage to jungle camps which is perfect for a jungle only item

Then for some reason it is now an on hit item. I thought riot learned in season 4 to have jungle items for a wider variety of champs. Other then fiddle elise whats the point of jungling ap or any ad that doesn't have attack speed boost.

Ap junglers and spell heavy junglers are screwed till they get upgraded jungle items

TL;DR What was the reason for changing machete? It seemed perfectly fine dealing %extra damage to jungle camps

It is 30 damage on-hit over 2 seconds. So as long as you are attacking once every 2 seconds, you are fine. (Fiddle is likely the only jungler that doesn't attack often enough.)

Or the damage reduction, it's ungodly awful how those aniviathings that spawn instead of wraith deal so much damage that i have to skip them because until later in the game a non sustain jungler gets down from 100% to 40%.

I agree with you, also we don't get any increased gold from jungle, i can rightfully say that jungle is the least wanted role because it doesn't give you enough reward, gold, experience, and gameplay wise, outside of smite junglers have no presence if compared to s4.

s4 was truly the best and easiest way to play jungle, item that did fit for every role and champ, you could jungle with pretty much anybody, and there was much more "STRATEGIC DIVERSITY" (New Rito's word placed into counterplay and antifun words of fame), you had afk farm junglers, ganking junglers, counterjungling junglers.

Right now if you want to be on the same level as laners in both gold and experience you must play a heavy sustain jungle so you can gank early and stay more into the jungle without having to recall every 2-3 camps.

The new Machete is actually less effective with attack speed than the old one. The new Machete deals extra damage over 2 seconds, meaning it has zero synergy with attack speed(I don't think any champ has less than 0.5 attack speed at level 1). Also, the heal you get from Machete is now also over time.

It was kind of the point of remaking Machete the way they did. It no longer favors any particular types of junglers.

I think you're severely misinformed.

The previous Machete amplified your damage against monsters by a certain percentage. This percentage scaled with damage, obviously, so that version of the Machete clearly benefited high-damage junglers more than those low-damage ones.

This version of the Hunter's Machete does apply an on-hit effect, but you should read its description: "Deal 30 magic damage on hit to monster over 2 seconds...". While you do need an autoattacks for the damage to activate, since it's damage-over-time it doesn't reapply on every hit. so every champion benefits from it equally, as long as they're attacking more than once every two seconds.
