A Jungler isn't someone that carries your lane making sure you dont feed your ass off

They are like an extra boost. Sometimes they may not gank because other lanes are priority.

Or maybe dragon control was in their mind so they didnt go top lane.

But most importantly think of them as an addition. They may add to your lane by giving pressure or they may do it somewhere else.

But just because your jungler didn't gank does NOT give you the right to feed your ass off then blame him for not ganking.

Sure there Yi came maybe 2 times.

But guess what you have wards. And you have a support that was meant to help peel for you.

So as a message from a jungler don't blame us because we are successfully helping a lane. If your lane is lost (down 0-4 before their jungler even ganked) then me ganking and you dying is only going to give you a reason to hate me even more.

Junlgers are the new support for people to blame

Sincerely, Your jungler that got our top laner fed

I never really expect a gank, but it's really nice if I get a kill or tower with the jungler. I don't think I've ever blamed our jungler for a loss, mainly because I can't jungle for the life of me and it's the hardest thing ever.

Thanks for doing your job, A mid main.

It's not new... They've been blamed by idiots for eons...

"jungler afk farms and doesn't assist lanes"

"ffs why are all my lanes feeding"

I understand that junglers can cop a fair amount of flack that's not deserved but I also hate junglers that aren't helping the lanes and then complains his team is shit.

The thing is, if this person is already feeding, then getting them a kill would reset their gold reward. So they would give up more gold when they (probably) die again. So getting another lane/the other lanes ahead is the better solution.

"Guess what you have wards"

I stopped reading from there.

No one in Bronze have wards, except the functional ones.

Thanks for helping me ward shit, Support Main.

If I'm playing poorly and feeding up a storm, I want my jungler to gank other lanes and get them snowballed so they can carry my tilted rear to victory. Or maybe just farm up that sated devourer or whatever and carry me themselves. That way I can stop playing the game and do something else to get me off tilt.

Same thing with buffs; I seldom take blue, even if I'm doing well; I can manage my mana/stutter step pretty well, I want you to have an efficient clear, so take that blue/red buff and do well with it, or else I'm taking it next time :3

adc main, I upvoted you. so true.

OP is right. I'm tired of spoiled brats who feed their lane and blame it for junglers.

Auroramancer7/29/2015, 1:22:38 PM1 votes

As someone who is smart enough to ward, not overextend, and in general not die to my lane opponent (but not kill them either), I start to go on tilt when the enemy jungler comes to my lane 4 times unsuccessfully but nobody on my team comes to help me get a lead.

I'll usually say something like "enemy jungler has been here 4 times, i need some help". For real, like, if your teammate is playing smart but they have an unfavorable matchup or they are getting camped, but they still aren't dying, they are probably worth ganking for.

Vistha Kai7/29/2015, 4:52:12 PM1 votes

That's the theory.

In practice they are nothing more than a glorified paperweight.

Jungle's job is literally to have control of the map... the biggest thing though is keeping tabs on where the enemy jungler is. I find this is one of the skills that most people who play jungle don't have or forget to take into account and is the difference between high-elo and low-elo junglers.

It's okay to play farm style and not gank as much, but if you're top farming jungle and their jungle is ganking your bot lane and gets a double kill for the lane, you probably should have been bot to help them out. That or at least have warned them where the enemy jungle is so they can avoid the gank, you are basically the eyes for your team since you don't have to be so focused in lane. Good warding prevents this but you should help out too... This is why the best thing you can do in league is have as little deaths as possible, it's better to be down 20-30 CS than be down a kill and also 20-30 CS.

You kind of have to weigh which objectives are more important at the time, it's not always so black and white.

I used to main Top lane at the first half of S4, but then switched to jungle. I loved it, but I got fucking abused by my laners so I stopped. Jungle is a very mentally and sometimes emotionally taxing role. You have to be like fucking Les Stroud out there. No one is looking after you. You laners at least know that I am there to help you if you need it (Usually). I'm alone in the fucking jungle. I am not required to gank you. You shouldn't need my ganks. I gank because it helps you, not because I have to. If I don't gank, it is not a reason for you to feed. I am not your personal bitch. I control the dragon and baron for you so you don't have to devote nearly as much time to warding them and taking them. So after I quit jungling I went to mid. That was fun. Talon was a VERY fun champion to stomp with. Then he got nerfed and I didn't stomp as much, but I still did good. Eventually I went back to top and then back to jungle, where I am now. I've learned to more or less ignore you if you start complaining about me. I help you more than you can imagine. Get off my dick about your loss. It wasn't my fault you lost lane, it was your fault for not warding or picking stupid fights or getting hooked by Thresh/Blitz.

I'll help you as much as I can, but bitch, I got other places to be. The jungler is VERY busy in the early game. You laners get to sit in your nice little lane and farm while I sit in the jungle and nearly get killed every 10 seconds by a monster and then find a way to scrape through to attempt to come help you.

Jungle is a very taxing and difficult role. They get tons of abuse for nothing.

Junglers aren't your bitch, stop treating them as such.

the only thing I can think of that really shows you're a bad jungler is if I repeatedly bring a difficult champ to lange against to less than 100hp, and they never come gank. I see the jungler taking a camp close to my lane when he could just walk 20 sec, get a kill and relieve pressure in my lane, but no. they aren't even looking at my lane just cause I'm top.

nordking7/29/2015, 10:00:18 PM1 votes

I always play ww as jungler as his R was made for it but since you need to hit lvl 6 i never ganked before i do just that, some players get angry cuz they dont want to wait few minutes and start flame but not majority thankfully

JAGMAG7/28/2015, 9:33:41 PM1 votes

actually they can be that i had a panth go mid to counter me as yas and i was getting wrecked so my xin jungler camped really hard got me threw lane phase then i carried if he hadn't been their to make sure i did not feed my ass off we would have probably lost that game

WTFMatee8/10/2015, 5:46:34 AM1 votes

bump cause i had no idea my thread got so many thumbs up

Jari7/28/2015, 11:08:42 PM1 votes

Just adding this.

A good jungler knows when you're bad. It's kind of obvious when you feed 6 kills in six minutes up there in top lane. If you're doing that, I ain't coming for you. I am not Jesus(soraka), I cannot save you. I'd rather go gank bot lane where things look even, as I can break that even and put our team ahead somewhere.

T RexHasTinyArms7/29/2015, 4:13:32 AM1 votes

The only time I get frustrated is if I'm camped early and the enemy spends multiple ganks and at least 60-90 seconds getting my summoners down before killing me on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gank to my lane before lvl 6, AND my jungle doesn't gain and advantage during that time. If my lane is put in a stalemate or lost because of early jungle pressure and you don't get off ganks in other lanes so there is a balance of lanes being ahead or lost, take early drag, or counter jg to gain lvls and gold over their jg, then you just lost your lane the same way a lane that gets solo killed in the first 3 minutes did, and while I may not rage, that sucks.

As a side note sometimes it's just as frustrating, if not more so, when I don't lose my lane bc of jg ganks and the same thing happens. As a PSA to all jungle mains, when you hear your top lane get a double kill, please go counter jungle/take drag/gank mid/bot knowing that you can't get counter ganked. It sucks to gank for a lane, get the kill for them, then see them lose anyway. Same is true top lane, when I draw jg pressure from the enemy and don't die to it, I'm not only winning my lane, I'm helping you win yours. Please don't throw that help away because you need to take gromp after wolves while the enemy jg is dead, there is just so much more you can do with that help.

kurthl33t7/29/2015, 4:55:10 AM1 votes

Well the phrasing is rather vitriolic, but I agree with the sentiment. It's not the jungler's job to win your lane. It's your job to win your lane. And that's coming from a support/adc/top main--I rarely jungle. I appreciate the help when my jungler comes and successfully ganks (and I get really annoyed when he or she just wanders vaguely into my lane, takes some farm, and leaves). But if things are going poorly in my lane, it's my job to turn things around, not the jungler's.

DazedOnlooker7/29/2015, 5:15:43 AM1 votes

If they don't gank my lane if i'm struggling top, but i see them in another lane then cool! time to go nuke the enemy top jungle/river with wards/shrooms! poke more aggressively even over extend knowing the enemy jungler won't come to save his top lane, more often than not they needed the gank more than i did, i can't understand why some people think that junglers can instantaneously be there to help you whenever you need it, i just camp under turret or abandoned the turret (like a sane person), if im support and top is getting camped then cool now i can go nuke bot enemy jungle with wards!.

I like to believe that if you die..its your own fault for expecting your team mates to be gods at helping you in any way. if i'm support and i die..

  • my fault for not being more aware/wards
  • my placement was sloppy
  • i accidently flashed under enemy turret with 1hp
  • i tried to save my ADC from a jinx ult without noticing that i only had like 10hp myself
  • tried to save my ADC from an Ez ult by hopping in front of them..with 1hp.....i think you know how that turned out...
  • Not noticing that i was being focused down.
  • got greedy

Died top?

  • over extended with 40% hp

  • didn't notice enemy minion wave was larger than mine

  • accidently flashed under enemy turret with 1hp

  • got greedy

Its possible to go a full game with only 2 deaths without getting picked off by ganks! I have seen it soo many times! i can't always tell if it's because of skill, or luck...or because this guy NEVER leaves his lane..ever...

GankLord7/29/2015, 5:44:57 AM1 votes

That being said honestly I rarely go top for the most part unless the enemy team has a really squishy top that's easy gold for me but generally I hover the mid and bot because those are the lanes that carry late and dragon which is my job to get is there and top laners are generally left alone I can tell a good top laner from a bad if on their first back whether or not they get a kill they get ward and a pink if the tri brush is on their side. My thing as a jungler is that you shouldn't expect ganks and if you don't get them then what you should hold me accountable for is getting objectives if I don't get dragons/baron and I haven't ganked your lane feel free to call me a sht jungler that being said and I cannot stress this enough "KEEP YOUR SHIT WARDED AND UPGRADE YOUR TRINKETS SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO SPEND GOLD ON WARDS AFTER LV 9" vision keeps you from getting ganked and helps us to get objectives and kills and most importantly gives you ones less champion liekly to disturb your laning phase.
