wards are invaluable, so you should be placing these in strategic key points anyway. Always remember:

Generally the adc wants to call out for a gank, but the jungler cant or wont. I would offer to help as a top laner because of this magical summoner spell the problem is, I cant use it because there isn't a reliable target, and it would take quite a bit for me to walk there. if I walked it, by the time I get there

Reminder: The jungler isn't there to play your lane for you. His "duty" to gank is as much as the duty of the other teammates.

and it isn't his duty to gank all the time. sometimes a lane isn't gankable by the jungler, or maybe hes just too far, which is where summoner 12 comes in

theres no doubt that sometimes he cant, or sometimes he just dosent wanna, but in that instance, don't be afraid to ask your toplaner for assistance

As a JG, it definitely helps de-tilt people if you explain your reasoning when you decline a gank.

"Sorry, too low on health/can't get there safely/he's too fed for both of us"

Information is good, radio silence is bad.

Agreed hate when I ask for a gank and hear nothing, ive done my fair share of jungling and i can understand when a gank isn't viable,

i mean you can keep "powerfarming" in a ganking meta and hope you get carried from time to time. The higher you then go by getting carried the more you will get flamed for not doing shit.

True, but it IS still a botlane Meta. Not ganking bot is the same as asking to lose unless your botlane manages to snowball itself, but if the other side is snowballing, you either have to shut that shit down or its basically game over right then and there. Is that fair? No they need to fix that, how is arguable of course, but it needs fixed.

I mean you can win without a fed botlane, but its pretty damn hard.

Good advice, though you could also port to bot tower or wait for a minion wave to get in prime position. Sometimes it's even preferable to port to the tower because it'll be in the enemy's fog of war.

Hey, I'm a top laner. Just got done in getting smashed lol. Can't really ward when I'm being shoved into my tower and the enemy laner is clearly over-extended but if the jungler proceeds to do a full clear instead of coming to help... what can you do? shrugs

I'd like to add that ranged top laners really make my day, such fun.
