What was the point of creating IRON?

The title says it all, what was the point? We are a couple weeks into ranked and OP.gg has 3.5% of people placing here in NA. They could honestly just be rolled up in the bottom of Bronze4 and nobody would notice. I placed Silver at the end of season 8 and found myself in Bronze at the start of 9. I can say with certainty that the new Bronze is not at all comparable to last year’s Silver. Bronze is still filled with people who have no clue how to play the game. The only thing Iron did was make 3.5% of new players feel like real outcast garbage, lower than Bronze4 dirt. Eliminate Iron or start moving the bad players out of Bronze like it was intended to do.

It was to actually seperate bronze 5 fro. The rest of bronze since the players down there are not capable of playing the game with any skill or knowledge. I know plenty of players in Bronze that could get better, but Iron is just where players that lack practically any potential end up. I think it is a good desicion and should be kept.

Is it really 3.5%? I think that's less than total plat players.

If people would stop using ranks as a “dick measuring” contest and instead use it as a “this is where I’m at. What do I need to learn to move up” people would see the rank they are in as a learning opportunity and stepping ladder. When I first got placed B 5 I wasn’t surprised. I knew little about the game. Then one year I took the initiative to hone my skills and I got to silver 3 last year. Now I’m going to get into gold this year. But I never felt bad for being at he bottom of the ladder because I knew I was new.

If someone has never played rank but played like 3 years of league they’ll be able to climb out of iron no doubt. Probably why there is only 3% in there.
