Logical thing to do with new champions

  1. Perma ban them in ranked for a week or so after release so people dont troll or whatever.

  2. Dont allow them to be banned in normals, becuase its normals, a place to practice. And its great fun to get into a game a month after release and FINALLY be abel to play a new champion, only to have everyone bitch you out for being bad with a champion thats been banned or first picked in every single game.

  3. Dont allow instalocking of new champions in blind pick, i personally dont play blind pick but when i did it was pretty frustrating to load up the lobby and see someone already locked into a new champion and demanding to go into lane X, or they woudl feed.

Just some quality of life suggestions.

  1. While I agree with it, that's down to the players of that particular game to do.

  2. No, again players choice. If they don't want to have to play against the new champion or with the new champion they do not have too. Yeah it's frustrating because you want to play them and all but it's also frustrating for your team to have to play with a first timer even if it is just normals people still want to win.

  3. People go to blind pick to insta lock the champion because they want to play her without being banned or first picked.

People get frustrated with the new champions being in their games because most people haven't even practiced them. they just take them straight into pvp and then everybody else has to suffer/compensate because the person inevitable does badly as it's their first time.

But there is a simple fix to this, it's so simple that people over look it.

Practice tool - Figure out the new champion where you're not going to hurt anybody.

Bots - Go see how well you can actually play them, figured out their kit fully, figure out your builds, where you're going to play them etc.

Pvp - Once you've played them for a bit let the hysteria die down and then take them into a pvp match people will be less inclined to ban the champion and you'll actually be able to use her enough that your team won't feel like they're stuck with somebody instead of enjoying playing with them.

Now I know you're going to say "well normals is there to practice new champions" while true it is doesn't mean people want you practicing new champions that you don't know how to okay in their games because again people still like to win and the chances of that happening goes down if somebody says a brand new champion that they don't know.
