Majority vote =/= lottery pick

Seriously, either change the name, or learn what lottery means. If 3 players choose one champion, and the other 2 players each chosoe a diffrent champion, that means theres a 60% chance at one, and 20% at the other 2. That how a lottery pick works, whats NOT a lottery pick is when you jsut hand over whatever champion gets the most votes, thats called voting.

This is coming form someone whose tire dof being promised a LOTTERY PICK in all for one, and then getting stuck with a 4 man premade with 0 chance of getting a say in what we play.

I picked a champ while all 4 others pucked another, I got mine.

It's random. They just have a higher chance, they don't get it just cause 4 votes.

Wrong OP, I made my team take Sona even though all four of the others were trying to get Malzahar. OP is mad cause the 20% odds don't play out for him constantly. Rather than grasp the concept of percentages, he prefers to say that facts are lies. Same guy probably thinks we didn't go to the moon, and that the Texas Rangers are who killed JFK.

no, you didnt. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/One_for_All read the wiki, it even clearly states that if more then 3 players (majority) vote for one champion IT AUTO TAKES THAT CHAMPION.

That is incorrect. It was set that way originally. It was changed because of the premade abuse that you're complaining about. The odds are just ever not in your favor. That's all it is.

No, im in a game right now where 2 people voted for one champion, and 3 voted for lee, and it announced majority and we all got forced into lee, dont argue with someone whose delaing with the issue at the exact moment you are claiming it isnt an issue.

I actually hate playing with other people. I play video games to get away from others. I do play with friends sometimes, but usually they bitch cause I don't accept their invites. I also only group with people I know IRL so I group even less due to that fact. I don't actually notice an issue with premades. I have this thing where I'm a team player so I fit into whatever team I'm on regardless of their pre-game status. Nothing that uses percentages to determine anything can be fair. It's straight up in the nature of percentages. They determine the likelihood of an outcome that fate decides in the end. Fate doesn't care about fair, it comes to a conclusion and that's how it is. The difference between you and I is that you take this game so seriously that you are complaining about the "fairness" of a mode that's only up for approx. 2 and a half days where as I just get on here to have fun for a little while then I move on to doing other stuff. I have no reason to lie to you, you are a faceless, nameless nobody on the internet to me. Same as I am to you. I have no reason to lie to you because I have zero ramifications for saying it how it is. Besides, the truth is way more fun. You just assume the world should cater to you so any time anyone says anything contradictory to you you try to fire off the word liar. Well, I'm calling you a liar now. What are you gonna do about it?

For the record, if I was on a premade, I would have zero regard to your feelings in terms of the choices we make. I flat out wouldn't give a shit if it was fair or not. Just so you understand that I'm not trying to "justify" things I do on the pre-mades that I'm never a part of. The rare occasions that I am on a pre-made, I have as much of a "fuck what the fifth guy wants" attitude as anyone else. I have zero issue with the world knowing that. This is the internet. Your feelings don't mean shit here.

Premades are definatly always to agree on whatever they're doing. They'll make a Yasuo Comp. They'll force you to support. They'll force on you a champ in one for all. Solo queuers are a lot less likely to do so, premades often are made up of people who've had longer relations, while, when you start a game, you have to "bond" with them in 5 minutes and stay with them for a hour, and a lot of people just don't give a crap.

yet what youre saying is false, looking at that match (sona vs darius im assuming as thats the only sona game) none of those people have played together so it wasnt a premade. second, it is majority wins. it states it in the lobby. third now youre just justifying why you believe that.

they have done lotto pick once for this mode it didn't work as well due to one guy just screwing around and the majority people not getting their choices after discussing it in chat.

No one said they were premade. I said they all picked malz. One of them suggested it and the other three followed suit. Second, if it's majority wins, then how did I get Sona through all four malzahars. Hmmm? Hmmm? Tell me. Come on. Tell me. You all believe you are capable of altering reality. So tell, when I go back to look at my match history will I have played Malz? Will I? Because according to your logic, I for sure, 100%, no way around, played malz since 4 ppl had him selected. You and I have never played together. First off, you aren't 30 yet so the odds of our accounts seeing each other are low. Second, I looked through my match history just to make sure that you weren't in there by chance. Nope, not in a single game as far back as my match history goes. Odds are that even if we did play together, you wouldn't remember my account name in detail enough to know if we did or didn't. To address your first comment, I was there, you weren't, you are wrong, that's how it is. For the second, you have never played a game with me, and unless you can provide evidence that we played together then I'm going to call you out as a liar here in front of everyone.

Yet ive made front page and have been upvoted nonstop since posting this, and at least half of all comments AGREE with me, whiel the other half are claiming they won despite knowwing they havnt, i think everyone whose cliam,ing (liek you) that they get their chosen champion despite being 3-4 votes against it, are all premade players who jsut want this to stay as is and are makign up stories to support their trolling.

I love all these people saying this is untrue, when you can watch any game where as soon as everyone locks in, any other picks go to 0%, it shows "majority wins", and everyone is stuck playing malz for the 12th game in a row.

20% picks get automatically ignored if there is a 60% or higher, without fail. It is entirely different from what happens with 20% vs 40%, or 40% vs 60%.

And really easy to abuse and annoying.

No, im complaining becuase i had 0 chance, if it was a 20% chance to get my champion, and 80% chance to get theirs, fine, but dont put me in a game with 3-4 peopel who all get to chosoe whats played, then tell me its a lottery, its not, its 3-4 players choosing what to play.

I think they did that because if a majority of people express one desire and that desire is unfulfilled, that majority is left unsatisfied. While this is not a lottery pick, it's better (in theory) for game design since the majority leave satisfied.

If I said there was a lottery and you joined in this lottery, you would expect an equal chance to win, correct? If I then take the lottery money and give it to a church because they all entered the lottery and had the majority of the entries, would you still complain even though the majority was satisfied?

I'm not saying it's right, but for game design, you always try to satisfy the majority. The thing is, in your situation, I'm not satisfied because the church got an unfair chance, but everyone in the church is happy because they win, and there's way more in the church than just myself.

I imagine that it's still using the strings for the last time the game mode was active, or even the first time. I think it was Lottery the first time it came out, Majority the second time, or the other way around.

However, there's pros and cons for both systems.

If you're four people who want to play the same champion and the 20% gets lucky - that feels just as--if not more--annoying than how the 20% feels for not getting their pick. The premade-blaming is a scapegoat in my opinion, because pre-made or not it's still FOUR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY SOMETHING versus just you.

I think the fairest solution would be to increase the threshold to pass-majority to 75%, up from 60%. Thus, premade 3s aren't guaranteed.

I am also tired of Riot catering to pre-made groups and ruining the game for people who want to play solo. This game mode 'lottery pick' is insult to the injury.

I have been trying to play Illaoi all weekend (whenever I could play) and have met more 3-4 man pre-mades than not. They choose a champ and congrats you now get to play that. If I say anything, at best I get the reply of "Get friends lol".

I do not want to play with a group. Riot is making the game inaccessible to solo players.
