PLEASE DO NOT GO THROUGH WITH DIVINE JUDGEMENT

Divine judgement is such a huge nerf compared to intervention. The cooldown is literally doubled and the invulnerability duration is lowered by 33% at max rank. Aside from the fact that this change will completely devastate kayle's support ability this is a major debuff to carry kayle since it is channeled and prevents her from aa'ing (not to mention using other abilities such as flash).

edit: furthmore divine judgement costs 100 mana vs interventions 0!

That was the point. Her Ult was so strong causing the rest of her kit to be lackluster and now they can add power to the rest of her kit and make her much more enjoyable to play overall.

fine she has enough damage in her kit, prevent her aa during ult but dont double the cooldown and nerf the duration. thats so much needless harm to her support capacity when simply requiring the channel would sufficiently check her dps while still allowing her support

She's currently played support 7% of the already extremely small percentage of times she's picked. Riot isn't balancing her around being a support. She's no longer a support. She's been a top laner for a long time.

im not arguing that her support isnt uncommon, what im saying is that her carry potential can stay within reasonable bounds without needless detriment to her support potential.

According to lolalytics, she has a 1.29% pick rate, support specifically is at .09%. Out of 10000 games, you'll see a Kayle 129 times. Out of those 129 times, she'll be a support 9 times on average. 9 times out of 10000. It's not just uncommon, it basically doesn't exist.

youre arguing beside the point so i'll reiterate. Im not arguing support isnt common, im arguing that there's no need to hamper her support when a viable alternative exists for her dps without the detriment to her support.

But there is. Support Kayle should not be a factor when trying to rebalance her in general.

Balancing around a nonexistent support Kayle would fuck up balancing her for solo lane. Letting her keep her old ult would mean they have to suck out power from the rest of her new kit.

Besides, support Kayle sucks ass. Just pick Tahm. His W stops the burst coming in and isn't an ult

considerations should be made to avoid needles role limitations when posible. and the suggestion i made earlier in the discussion would not overly power solo kayle while also removing the huge damage to supp kayle

Riot does not balance over what you want to play a champion in. They balance based off what the design role of the champion is.

seems pretty silly to wantonly detriment a fun role for a champ simply because it's less popular

This. The trade off is it deals damage back in a pretty large area. You can still clutch save people and retaliate in full. How is she a worse support with this exactly?

ok firstly it's a nerf to her dps bc the base and ratios over 2 seconds of channeling do not make up for her inability to AA so using the damage as a pro is not valid.

Secondly she is a worse support with this because:

  1. invulnerability duration is lowered at max rank by 33%
  2. she cannot heal her target for the duration or use other abilities due to the channel
  3. she can no longer cast this when low on mana
  4. the cooldown is doubled ults like zed or ezreal or lux already have cd's lower than her current ult and once her cd is doubled her support ability will be entirely relegated to her (also nerfed) w in half of the teamfights.

it is still also unclear whether the target is still made untargetable
