The core issue

Feel like a lot of leagues problems stem from the current state of the meta.

  • weak towers

  • increased damage buffs (class reworks sorta did that)

  • dragon buffs

  • rift herald

These all create a snowball meta. I can understand riots need for wanting shorter game times vs how it used to be, but i myself find snowball metas to be boring. usually the games are determined early on who will win. Throw in dynamic queue (referring to the grouping systems) and you just have an undesirable state of play for most individuals.

the snowball meta stopped after season 3(or 2? idk), level snowballing was huge, you could 1v4 when you stomped your lane, and is now pretty much non existant.

  • towers are stronger than they have ever been (there were no laser turrets, only regular towers in every spot)
  • Base damages are lower across the boards now, there are a lot of 3 hit passives which require setup.
  • the only dragon buff that snowballs is fire, and the reworked old drake gave it on the first drake kill aswell, without random chance (old drake wasnt that usefull, only gave gold)
  • rift herald I can agree with

literally the game has been slowly lasting longer and longer, which peaked when inhib turrets were broken( %dmg reduction, wtf?) and cinderhulk was built on everybody.

If anything is a problem, it's all tanks items giving both on hit damage(looking at you sunfire and IBG) AND CDR, which is basically a dmg amplifier.
