A real solution?

As i'm sure everyone knows right now, dynamic que isn't going anywhere. What we can do however is plea to riot for modifications to the que. In doing so we need to identify the core issues of dynamic que. Listed below are what I've gathered from looking through the boards (will add more if need be) Core issues:

  • Elo boosting This is something along the lines that players I feel have recently been complaining about. There have been twitch streams that revolve around carrying people for a set amount of money. Usually a pre-made of 3 or 4 will pay a certain amount of money for a free carry. Going against what riot itself stands for. I'm not exactly sure this hasn't been under attack by riot itself, other than being a so called "legal" form of boosting.

  • Discrimination of Solo Players Right here i believe is the defining issue for most people. Being matched with a premade of 3 or 4 is always unrewarding nor is it fun. This arises a variety of issues though, the primary being solo que players are subjected to the pre-made decision making and level of skill.

  • Toxicity I myself haven't experienced much of this, however I constantly see this as an issue for players that are annoyed of how toxic some of these pre-mades are. The fact being it again subjects the solo que players to the pre-mades mercy.

Touching on what i have listed above, there are a few solutions I've come up with. If you have any you possibly may like to see and is upvoted enough, i will gladly add it. Potential Solutions

  • Restricted Dyanmic Que This is something I could see satisfying both parties, however i'm not sure if it will agree with riots vision of teamwork. Doesn't matter the elo level, restrict dynamic que to duo, trio or 5 man. Additionally only allow one duo per a game, to avoid have to pairs of duo with one random. Lastly 3 man groups should only be paired with duo que to avoid having any solo que players matched with them. Now my reasoning for this is to avoid giving power to the pre-made groups. What I mean by this is to avoid allowing for the pre-mades to dictate the game play. Thus the only matchups we should be seeing are: 5 solo vs 5 solo duo + 3 solo vs duo + 3 solo Duo + trio vs duo + trio 5 pre-made vs 5 pre-made This ideally should represent what it was before season 6 for solo players, however it will also supplement players that wish to use dynamic que with there friends. It also restricts the amount of power pre-mades have with solo que players.

  • Increased Lp If the above solution isn't suitable for riot, perhaps a compensation of increased lp is awarded for solo players that are forced to play with pre-mades. This presents an issue however as it goes against riots vision of teamwork.

That's all for now, thanks for reading and if you have thoughts on this let me know!

Use the mute button or shut the fuck up about toxicity. You have the solution right with you and you refuse to use it in hopes you get attention for being cyber bullied. G r o w u p is also another solution. If someone talks shit either talk shit back or mute him. Do anything else and you're gaining nothing

I think you should take your own advice and grow up .If you're getting upset over a game and need to resort to flinging insults at your team, then you clearly lack maturity.

I'm not talking to the author but to those who think being abused by premades is rough.if you think sitting on a laptop spamming reports to people who hurt your feelings in a video game is ok, you're even more immature. I can defend myself when someone decides to attack me. If that's immature to you, then we don't share the same mindset, but don't dare cal me immature for not letting people run over me.

Select a target audience for the next time then, when you say "You" while replying to a thread it appears to be directed to the OP. I do think it's more mature to simply mute somebody and report later so no one else has to deal with their shit. people get on a game to have fun, not to deal with a team of douche-bags that gang up on one individual. Arguing with a group of people on the internet is just stupid and a waste of time, neither side will back down so it does nothing. So yes I find it immature to argue with toxic people on the internet.

I agree with muting them and reporting afterwards to get rid of the scum.

I find that if someone wants to talk shit about me I'll reply back and let him know I can play the same game. Since league is boring anyway I'd rather talk back than try to trade with the enemy tank top laner as a top lane main myself .

Never mind I apologize for calling you immature... I didn't notice you were a riven main.

Stereotyping joke for those without humor, not to be taking seriously

What you do is up to you, but don't get verbally aggressive with others because they get upset from being insulted on a recreational activity. Some people have fragile minds different from what you or I might have.

Damn man I swear I would be triggered if I could actually play her anymore. I haven't touched her in months because of how garbage this meta is for top laners. If u aren't tanky you're going down the drain. Goodbye riven....

Potential Solution

Role-Call: Allow roles that are in demand to be matched more likely with solo players, this will not only help queue times but also encourage picking fill or support, the reasoning for this is that these roles likely have instant queues, and thus having a slight delay to find only solo players from the pool should not take long.

Banning: Always put solo players at the bottom of pick order, so that they get to choose bans and counter pick, rather then the premade deciding.

Tagging: Tag players who are premade with each other in the lobby so that players know they are playing with a premade. The accept and decline button should tell you how many true solo players there are for the player to accept or deny, this will increase queue times but should show what people want.

Less punishement, more rewards: If playing in a premade game that has 3 or 4 premade people together, your LP loss for losing a game will be halved since it is very likely something you couldn't help. Win LP should also be decreased for the premade players to discourage ELO boosting. Something like -10% LP for a duo, -20% LP for a trio, and -40% for a quad. 5 man premades will not be affected unless there are solo players on the other team, in which the same rates per solo player will apply. If all 5 are solo, this would net an 80% LP decrease from a win that was likely a stomp, solo players should also be rewarded more LP for defeating a premade group at the above rates, so if a group of 5 randoms beats a 5 man premade, they should be awarded 120% extra LP.

There is no solution for DQ that doesn't effectively make multiple queue systems under a single ranking.

It would be better for everyone if we just split up the queues and found a way (assuming people think this is necessary) to provide a competitive experience that can be enjoyed by groups of various sizes

Separate solo and team MMR. This shouldn't even have to be a suggestion but they it should have been from day 1.

you missed your window for the first part of this post. riot already implemented a system where you cant queue with people that are 2 or more divisions above you. or maybe they just talked about it. either way its probly gonna happen.

I also havent seen much of the way in which matching with duo/trio players is unrewarding. in fact I think if i am getting matched with groups at all, I don't really notice for the most part. maybe thats just me.

toxicity has always been an issue, I think thats more about internet/gaming culture than league in particular. riot has implemented various systems over the years to try to curb it, but there's only so much they can do to crack down on a significant portion of their own player base without turning away lots of customers
