Why is QSS getting nerfed?

It doesnt' even need the nerf, yeah it counters Trundle, Zed and Fizz ults, but it's basically the AD version of Zhonya's, what are we supposed to do? I mean this'll break Trundle all around and Zed will be impossible to counter if your champ doesn't use Zhonya's.

So that champions like Zed can be more easily balanced. It's a lot easier to shift power into the rest of his kit while taking some of it from his ult when there isn't a hard counter that just shuts Zed's ult down. I hate Zed. But this will make it easier to justify nerfing him in the long run

Well what about Trundle? surely this would break him beyond belief.

Why is QSS getting nerfed?

Long-term goals that don't make sense short-term.

Riot ideally wants to move the game to a point where counters feel more dynamic and away from black and white counters where a champion is OP vs. opponents without a counter-item and useless vs. opponents with the counter item.

QSS is very much a black and white counter item.
