trinket don't give u damage mate, u could use that 250 gold to get ur last whisper faster . in fact u shouldn't even take the free trinket cuz it doesn't give u gold... the ONLY trinket that MIGHT be worth it is the scanning lens so u can get gold from last hitting wards

Eibhleann1 votesWhat level do you play at? Just wondering. I don't play much ranked because it seems like I find more skilled teammates in team builder, but I'm low bronze. Good games, bad games, good positioning, bad positioning, but I try to use my trinket and I try to remember to upgrade it when I hit 9... I mainly ADC and I try to work with my support so that we can both have gold (ie I don't flip sh*t if they get the kill), and really it doesn't bother me at all because I get all -not all, just what I manage to last hit- of the cs. If I get a ward they found, it's because I tried to hit it once so they wouldn't have to sit there for 5 seconds trying to kill it. On behalf of non-garbage marksmen (and women) everywhere: we love you. (if I could insert my summoner icon here, I would)

Things that I WISH they copied: getting as many cs as they can, not diving 1v4, not fighting a lost lane, warding in general, communicating, not playing Yi support, not playing a champ that they have 0 practice games with, playing safe if the enemy is better than you, not pushing the lane with no vision, not intentionally feeding, and not afking.
It seems like the only thing they actually copy is what champs to pick.
Ipols2 voteslol true. They also copy champs to ban and item builds (which is bad since those are situational builds. Prepare to see a full armor Gragas going vs Teemo, Cassio and Corki if in the LCS they played Gragas vs a full AD team)

Even with poor mechanics, not feeding, playing within the current meta and killing objectives in order will win a majority of games.
For example, Teemo jungle doesn't work.

(obviously xD) 
In my opinion its just the meta based thought process and the fact that if "Pros are playing it than i can", which is why when I'm playing solo queue i get sick of seeing certain things (ex. for the past two patch azir mid).

As for vision, I don't think people understand how useful vision is early on because they're too focused in lane and then they never realize that hey should upgrade their trinket because they hardly use it in the first place. Except for maybe a temporary glance at Dragon so you can steal or get the timer. Or they think they're being helpful warding baron for 60 seconds.

But yeah, I upgrade my trinket constantly, and after every match I play I go check my match history out of curiosity to see how much I ward compared to others.
On average I ward more than the support on either team. Sometimes combined! Maybe I ward too much, but I'd rather ward too much than not enough.

Ally champion proceeds to be ganked from brush on enemy they had no vision in. Shortly followed by a 4v5 and a loss/surrender. Them: Report the Support. Me: Check how many wards he placed in the stats.
50 minute game, placed 5 wards the entire game, never changed or upgraded trinket- it's like people forget about the 4 key after the 10 minute mark.

On junglers i get it due to inability to keep buying wards lane UNLESS i'm playing a jungler like nunu or seju where i can build a sight stone viably and still go with an upgraded sweeper.
Troll for Trump1 votesNo dont upgrade the trinket really early unless: You are a jungler, you can get pink wards if you are ahead and too lazy to get sweeper, or double yellow wards because you are prone to counter jungling or want to counterjungle a lot.
The enemy has things which are invisible: eve, teemo, akali, talon etc.
But just buy one green ward and 2 purple wards or stuff like that; no need to upgrade.
