"Stop blaming your team and improve your gameplay"

Probably the most false statement I've heard throughout my years in this game. There are some games where you just simply can't win. I had a plat friend, who's pretty good at the game, smurf in bronze. He got fed in almost all of the games, he only managed to carry the team in say 65%.

my point is, you can get fed, but it's really difficult to carry a match where all 3 lanes are losing, especially in a snowballs game like league; even if the carry is a god player. Carrying to the extent of ensuring a team of feeders win isn't EASY...

It's so depressing as a jungled when every lane is 0/2 at 10 minutes

I just ask myself. "What could I have done to prevent this?" "Did my jg path slow me down? " "Did i gank enough/successfully?"

There's always something you could've done better, especially as a jungler. It's the one role where one makes the most mistakes. I know because I keep making them XD

he forgot to add that the enemy jungle is 0/x/0 as well

maybe do something against it?

Jungle has the biggest impact on the early game.

Your not supposed to win every single game. Just having above 50 winrate already makes you a good player and you will climb if you can maintain it across different ranks

Yeah I agree. The statement is very true up until a certain point. Once you are carrying a team and let's say you are 7/0/10.... but your lanes are still losing... then you know you have done your best and there was probably very little you could have done. The argument to this would be something like... Well great KDA but did you help out with team fights and objectives? Well.... yeah of course... now its the team.. not you.

If other lanes are losing, the difference between you and your enemy laner just needs to be bigger than the combined difference of the other lanes. I've been smurfing in bronze myself and have 90% winrate, pretty much the only losses being people that go AFK because it's bronze elo. Of course you're going to carry less games if you're not playing a carry champion, or a champion where you can really use the difference in skill between you and your enemies, but really, the teamfighting and laning mistakes should be easy enough to punish and carry a game.

I agree with you. People on the forums just throw those lines out generically. So much so it is almost used as an insult be "well-meaning people."

And I understand, if you play better eventually you will climb. But no one wants to lose a terribly one-sided game and lose the LP. Then you have to win more games to make up for the unfair loss. But those people just act like you have infinite time to waste on trash games.

I think that you're not understanding the point what so ever.

What are you imagining that you're going to accomplish by blaming the others on the team? Is it selfsatisfaction? Then it's purely detrimental to the team and your own improvement possibilities.

Do you believe that if you can blame someone else for a loss that there was nothing that you could have learned from that game?

Maybe the 2 tower dives that you fucked up could also be a lesson, or the fact that you didn't watch the mini map enough to TP bot. You never roamed as mid. You went ham crazy hungry as the ADC and overstayed constantly trying to get a tower.

It's not about "if you focus on yourself, you'll carry 1,000,000% of the time", and more about what is effective use of your own energies and focus for your own climbing. If you never look at your own play because you're too busy blaming 'the shit team', you're never going to see how you can improve, and you're going no where.

If you think that people who say 'focus on your own gameplay' are wrong and use someone who is low elo like Platinum (compared to some people who say it) as an example, then imaqtpie who has like 4 accounts in Challenger is dead wrong as well.

The definition of most of my games I rage in. I get fed, my lane opponent is super behind, still lose because the rest of my team has their helmets on to tight.
