How are you supposed to lane against Vlad?

For some reason he's not that common so I don't get to play vs a good one very often but when I do I just auto lose and there's nothing I can do. He does more damage than me regardless of who I'm playing and heals back all his HP constantly so like ?????

You have to just not go near him when he has his empowered Q up, when its not up you should be winning trades vs him. Its a tough match up but you just gotta be smart about it.

Buy Executioner's Calling. It removes him from the game.

My best advice to you is this, oftentimes when I don't know how to play against a champion, it's a champion I have not myself played much or at all. I usually like to try and play the things that I have a hard time against so I can see how others deal with it. It's also helpful in learning your matchups cds and such so you know how often you can generally expect to have to avoid certain things.

His range is atrocious, I'm not sure how to answer this

So if I stay out of range I miss CS which would be fine if it was like panth or something but vlad just freefarms and gets huge.

If I trade I might win the trade but it doesn't matter because he will just heal off minions after that.

His Q range is only slightly longer than his auto range and lower than most mids' wave clear. I can't think of any viable mids who can't abuse his low range, but if you can't, his Q cooldown is pretty long early and it's displayed to you via his secondary resource bar.

Trade with him after he Q's a minion, or trade/all in him when he drops his empowered Q. You can also use minions to body block his E, then back off before his next Q comes up, and repeat.

I can beat him with Vel'koz but not really anyone else
