Was There Ever a Broken champion nerfed to balanced state?
Legit question, i don't remember Riot ever balancing properly.

Xin and TF off the top of my head
Edit Eve as well

Xin nerfed and was weak until his rework Eve received the worst nerf of all history, you were reported if you played eve after her nerf TF? IDK he received multiple rework from 2009 to 2011
release xin to xin 4 months later was succesful, you want a champion that was broken nerfed once then never touched again and was balanced forever and always?
first 2 hours when she was realeased she could 2 shot at level 2, they nerfed her

and made her useless for 3 years, or 4 years from 2010 to 2014 where she had the lowest win rate in the game until the rework of her ulti
everyone still hates her guts in lane
Azir
Azir
azir was nerfed range/pushing and damage and his win rate was standing at 38% win rate
Ekko. Received some nerfs reducing his tankiness and he is now quite balanced. Maybe a TAD on the weaker side.
I can agree with this. I play a lot of Ekko and his tankekko form is fine now for jg or top. The next thing they need to fix for him is his mid lane problem. Oh he used his W? Walk back and miss 1 farm for 50 of his mana or no farm missed. Oh ekko used Q? Just walk to the left or right to dodge the second proc. Np. Oh he E Q'd? No problem. Just wait for his retreat and stun him and slam him back down harder = win trade.
My personal solution would be to swap the ap damage ratio's on his Q a small bit. Like 0.2 on first hit and 0.5 on the way back instead of the normal 0.1 and 0.6. Normally this wouldn't be a problem if they lowered the W cost down to about 30/40/50/60/70 and the stun duration was 1.5r1/2.0r3/2.25r5. Unfortunately that's not how they decided to easily fix the problem.
well, to be fair, its pretty hard to hit it nail right on the head when it comes to balance. as long as they do follow up on it they are balancing properly.
would think something like that has been nerfed but is pretty balanced.

janna was never broken, her kit had several weakness even if she were strong.

Oh sorry didn't read the broken part probably lee sin than pretty average after nerfs
Lucian. On release he went like this. strongish balanced to op with a all in support to EXTREMELY underpowered for about 5 patchs then finally landed it perfectly in patch 5.16. And now lucian is balanced.

i'm talking about 1 patch, broken champ->patch->balanced never happened that's what i mean
That's never going to happen bro. Well actually there is one champion. Vel'Koz. He certainly is strong but that's mainly because of his passive working well in the tank meta.

To be fair, theres never a meta where his passive will be "bad" per-se, its ALWAYS going to be extra damage, and extra damage is always good, no matter who its hitting.
Since he deals a mix of true and magic damage, its harder to itemize against him; and given that he doesn't need much AP, he can just itemize for much cheaper items like grail, morellos, zhonyas; instead of having to worry about things like Deathcap.
Vel'Koz has never been broken either, nor nerfed.

Oh boy, you forgot to mention the phase he had with his unlimited dashes.

If I remember correctly, Lucian was the epitome of "Meh" upon release.
People didn't find him OP or UP. They also didn't find him very interesting.
Then he got buffed into "OMG! WTF! state." Then he got nerfed and now he's slightly under where he started.
True. It mainly depends on your support. He synergizes the best with Braum because of both of their passives.
Honestly, the only buff that happened to make him strong/balanced on his release was they made his Q track the target better. On release, hitting a moving target with his Q (if they were his main target) was next to impossible.

, a few patches ago; the new jungle items and some buffs to how she could itemize gave her a 54% winrate, but subsequent nerfs to her base damages pushed her down to the ideal 50%.
Pantheon ultimate nerf?

He said balanced, not crippled.
R.I.P.
In all seriousness does riot look at the winrates of these champions? 60% skarner got nerfed, yes, but nothing is done about 45% win rate kassadin? Hell even ryze is sitting at 40% just this month.
I don't know. I would say Kat is pretty balanced for a broken champion. 50% winrate. Not too hard to shut down these days, but can still wreck an unsuspecting team with the right comp.. (mumu+kat=gg)
She isn't oppressive anymore but still playable.
Define broken? I have yet to find a champion that I look at and I think to myself "This cannot be balanced... ever."
resets that double her damage across an entire team means if one person dies, everyone dies
which is an inherently broken mechanic
then there's
riot actually stated somewhere that they regret releasing a champion with spammable ranged manaless sustain
Let's see
was by far the most broken champ Riot ever made, his ult was his E his pick a card had far more utility and in general was must bad. I would say he's pretty balanced right now.
was absurd during season 2, and even previous seasons, when his W healed allies, and could apply a 40% atk speed slow to his enemies and was the sole reason Graves/Corki/Ezreal trifecta existed, IE Ezreal and the champions who could fight Ezreal, yet I would say he's pretty balanced now.
easily the crown jewel for Riot's balance team. She was broken as hell when she was first released and a must ban but since then she has been nerfed and changed until she has become literally the most balanced champion that Riot, or really any MoBA, game has ever seen. She allows the meta to shift around her while still being relevant and never pushing other champs out of the meta. There is literally no better example of balance to be found in this game, or IMO any MoBA game to date.
