i know you cant place below your provisional rank and whatnot, but i was told everyone would start iron? just took my support 
and after my first game placed bronze 3 60 LP?
if bronze is now the second lowest division shouldnt i have been placed lower, not higher? (finished silver 3 last season)

fresh accounts will start in iron 4.

He's thinking Silver 3=New Bronze 3, not Silver 3=Silver 3
So Bronze=Iron Silver=Bronze Gold=Silver Plat=Gold and so on is what he thought had happenned

This was Bronze 5 for years, the top end of B5 was that much better than the bottom end, and they were all in the same division
So what they did was move the divisions around so that D2+ was now Master, and D5+ became the new, weaker Diamond, and the players on the opposite side of the curve actually had space to grow
Silver and Bronze 4+ still have the same MMR value, they just made Bronze 5/Iron into less of a mess, they didn't deflate the ranks
