How to stop jungle invades?

I would like to pose a question to higher elo junglers. How do I stop the enemy jungler from owning my jungle in low elo. I was silver 3 and I played a game against a Gold 2 smurf as Shyvana, my old main that I used to have over a 73% win rate on when sated devourer was in the game. and he stole my red playing rek'sai (something I do frequently to the enemy jungler) when I was doing blue first clear. The instant my buffs re spawned he was always there and stole them in 10 seconds, it was hard to contest every time because nobody on my team warded the river or our jungle. One time I tried to steal his blue, as soon as I started taking it he immediately ulted to my blue and took it, I saw him ult to my blue and spam pinged it and told my team in chat rek'sai was stealing my blue. It took them about 20 seconds to react and by the time they got there he had just finished it and he left. I just felt so useless and in low elo you can't count on your teammates to help you with invades. I was so busy worrying about my jungle and watching my lanes because they were falling behind that he was able to get a very early drag at about level 5 or 6 I believe. I think I learned a lot from this guy and he was only Gold 2 but if I ever play against another higher elo smurf I feel like the same thing would happen and I want to be able to exert the amount of pressure this guy did to me.

You can counterjungle

You can gank

You can fight them

You can just keep farming wherever

You can buy a ward and get your team to gank them

whatever you do don't stop to cry. Don't be that noob that stops playing to bitch in all chat instead of thinking

At level 1 if 5 are at your red then how many are at the enemy red for example

Of course you won't make it in time though or necessarily even survive if you just stand in your starting camp pit like 99% of noob junglers.

Typical jungler: PINGPINGPING (pinging on jungle camp because I'm watching the entrances instead of dancing like a dumbass in the pit)

Me: just goes to lane and skips leashing, not leashing for a jungler who wont even take care of himself, how will he carry anyone else.

Typical jungler: (begins but gets grabbed by blitz into a group of 4-5 and just gets destroyed and counterjungled, luckily the adc didn't get caught in that)

Also think about where you go and when you go. If you camp a lane then someone is going to invade If you are seen before level 2 then someone might invade

some tankier junglers can just red > blue > invade, use your wards dammit

You can pull the monster out of the pit and fight it somewhere with some vision did you know? Be smart

If they are invading they aren't ganking at the moment. If you see them on a ward you could gank a lane and ping for your team to go ham you don't have to directly regain advantage.

Kill riverbugs! those things are fucking stupid and give a ton of gold and exp and then ward for you on top of this!!!

Lastly if you are getting repeatedly invaded considering leveling skills and building for faster clear times, even if you counterinvade you will need to be reasonably quick about it. Don't forget that if they always steal the buffs near toplane they probably will need time to go bot lane or dragon

Jungle main here:

If you're worried about invades, ward river once the camps spawn or 10-15 seconds before it (usually 1:40-1:50) If you've got a good Shaco or Evelynn against you, do a hard leash or start the wolf camp and smite it. Ask top lane (or bot) to ward your red. Never assume your camps are yours. Always leash the buffs to the bushes, kite the camps towards an escape point, or just be ready to peel. Some champs are just asking for invades, and this is a thing that requires comm to make sure you keep up. DO NOT WASTE ANY TIME ON YOUR FIRST CLEAR(S). Do what you know is your fastest clear and hit level 3 asap, and don't leave your camps unwarded if you can't do the buffs.
