Hextech rewards and toxic players

I have a friend who has been punished recently and it started me thinking on this subject. I can't find any specific information about when a player who has been recently punished will be eligible to receive rewards again. Anyone know any details? Also personally I think it's kind of dumb to not give them end of season rewards or hextech rewards because I really fail to see any scenario where something so trivial is going to make someone really change, especially when they announce it at the end of the season like S5. What's the point of making an incentive for bad players to be nice but not tell anyone about it until the end of the season? It just seems like it would make them mad rather than reform honestly.

You have not been able to find anything on it, because it has not been released. Riot is still working out the details.

Expect the punishment and probation period to be long. Riot has created a carrot. If you want the carrot, you behave. If you don't no carrot. No point in even having the system if you make it back to the nice list quick and easy. No the punishment will be long. There will be tons of QQers. It is free stuff. People are going to learn really quick. You either act like a decent human being, or you don't get free stuff. Simple as that.

so wait a second. a player gets banned... So now not only do they NOT get the end of season rewards, but they also dont get to participate in the hextech boxes and keys? sorry if i seem a bit uneducated on the thought process behind this, but its really really, its just plain stupid and uncalled for riot. you have a player, that may or may not have been banned for a good reason. So then he has to wait the X amount of days, until hes unbanned, then once he logs back in he is unable to obtain any rewards of any sort. So i would honestly like to know, whats the point of banning someone and "reforming them" if they dont get the same opportunities that other players get. lets put this in real life. you have a child, and he does something where you ground him for X amount of days. Now when his punishment is over and he realizes what he did wrong, youre telling me youre going to be a neglectful parent and not give that child anything that the other children get, like toys, birthdays, etc and so on? I understand its about trying to get "toxic players" out, but if a "toxic player" agrees hes been toxic and actually reforms, there really isnt an incentive for him to stay on a non toxic lvl. basic mind set here banned from end season rewards result: F it, im going to LOLNexus every game, and whoever is in a series, im going to troll and not give a care about them ranking up. Which actually happens waaaay more than enough. The same goes for the Hextech boxes, result: F it, i dont need to try hard because dont get rewards anyway, might as well troll around and do whatever. all youre doing is making a player that changed his mindset from being banned, and reverting him back to his toxic status. and these offenses rarely get banned. Youll be quick to ban a player that curses and puts down other players, but very rarely will you ban players that passively aggressively hurt other players or trigger that "toxic" one in the first place. for instance the word "why" ofcourse they know why, but they want to trigger and bother the other player for a mistake. Another one is the ? ping. youll find most matches that ? ping is used on someones dead body after they messed up a couple hundred times, and is actually, in comparison, used less when someone is actually missing from map view. Feeders that say "im not intentionally feeding", people that dont communicate and spend time in the jungle or other lanes because they dont care, players that dont curse, but actually passively agressively chat to another player, for instance, "Man youre so pro, must be hard getting that 12 cs" which in toxicity is about the same as "youre cs ****** ***** good job you ********" its the same thing at a different angle. Now you guys do have a mute button, and you can mute pings, but there comes that time you missed an actual important ping or missed an actual piece of advice that cost you the game. And you people should understand, this is an online game, rage and communication happens, its part of being online. People spend money on this free game all the time, and some actually play it, just so they can rage and calm themselves down. The punishment system in a whole, in my opinion and im sure many others will agree is just as "toxic" as the players it bans. im sure you guys could really care less. There was a player named Dunky, he had a great youtube channel and one day he stopped making league of legends videos because he got perma banned for talking smack to a guy that was intentionally feeding and ruined his match to get him back into diamond. The reason i joined league of legends is because of his channel. and that goes for thousands of your players, he did a lot of promotions and even raised money for charitys playing your game, then "oops he talks smack to one guy, and gets perma banned" and in rebuttle that player that trolled his game didnt get a ban whatsoever. basically riot, what im trying to say here is the system is broken, get rid of it, let it go, because all youre doing is making players more angry, causing more troling in ranked and normal games, and it also ruins games for new players, because now that person that was perma banned has a smurf account and is just going to talk even more smack and stomp those new players into the dirt, where they probably dont even want to play the game anymore because of the trash talking.

I understand at the moment that Riot is locking anyone with past offenses with behavioral issues out of the crafting rewards. My issue is that after every game, I am receiving the message saying I am "ineligible for rewards due to past behavioral issues". I find this very frustrating to be constantly reminded that I had a bad day and spoke out negatively to my fellow players. I was penalized, I served my punishment and am now doing my best to advocate better communication with my team members. I can accept not getting the rewards, but please remove the constant message I receive. It makes me not want to play any longer, and this is a game I enjoy quite a bit.

A lot of toxic behavior is also triggered by bad play, someone does something stupid repeatedly eventually odds are someone is going to get pissed off. It is going to happen. Riot seems to treat someone telling someone they are bad at the game the same as someone trying to bully someone into suicide, so you can lose your rewards because some kid didnt like being yelled at that he sucks at the game and reported.

Considering the chat can be muted with one command flamming should not be considered major issues, the real people that should be banned are those that take it to the next level, that troll, intentionally feed, grief, give out your teams position in all chat, then carry their crap out past the game, those are true toxic players, not some dude raging at people in a mutable chat.

It's really unfortunate that we don't receive rewards because a lot of us aren't bad players we just fly off the handle sometimes when we get upset which I did one time and now I am not able to receive rewards. Please update us with any new information on how long it will take to get back on the accepted players list.
