Ranked promos should not exist.

I'm talking about when you get to level 30 and you have to play 10 placement games to see where you'll get placed. I say when you get to level 30 you should just be automatically put in Bronze 5 and you can quickly skip over divisions if you prove to actually be good. The truth is that unless you're a smurf you are simply not ready to jump into mid silver ranked games and perform well but yet that is where a lot of new level 30's get placed.

When I first reached level 30 last year I got placed in silver 3 or 4 and quickly dropped to bronze and left a trail of havoc behind me. One of my friends also had the same thing happen to him. I will admit that I was not ready at the time and I hurt a lot of people by unintentionally throwing and feeding. Normal games where half the players are trolling and the other half aren't trying or are just REALLY bad simply don't compare to ranked games where (hopefully) everyone is tryharding and have much more experience under their belts.

This season I started at Bronze 5 0 LP (for reasons I don't like to discuss) and I've peaked at silver 2 so far which I consider quite the accomplishment. As a much more experienced player now I see soooo many people who just have no idea what they are doing like I did last season. They don't understand how to play passive in a losing lane, they don't understand objectives, they don't understand item builds, and I could go on forever.

My point being is that if a person wants to prove they deserve to be in the top half of league players (from websites I found that about 50% of players are Silver 5 or below), they should actually have to climb out of the bottom of the barrel like I did this season instead of just being placed there after playing maybe 100 or how ever many games to get to level 30.

Not to disrespect them but people like this unintentionally infect games and make climbing for someone like me who is not amazing at the game but is definitely better than most of the people in his division very difficult and inconsistent.

Same thing goes with people who may not have played in a season or 2, they should just start back at Bronze 5. Being gold in season 3 but haven't played since then is just as bad as a new level 30 IMO because the game changes a lot.

Why?

Not all players start to play Ranked directly at 30.

I waited another Month or so and was able to survive in Silver back in S4.
