Why remove sota

why not remove stormraiders instead not to many people used it what you could have done is get rid of that put in the new one then have it switch mastery trees with bond of stone because supports like the cunning tree anyway and then the new one would be where it is now a lot of junglers like strength of the ages and it will probably mess a few of them up

I believe the reason they are removing SotA is because it is overpowered, not underused. Not in a straight up sense, but in higher elos, if you don't take it on Jungle, you are at a massive disadvantage. Basically, there is no reason not to take it when you jungle.

SotA got removed because its boring, mostly.

That doesn't explain why Bond of Stone is still in the game though.

Hopefully we'll get something more interesting in that slot that will help low CC junglers like DrMundo and Shyvana , cause right now they're losing their only real Keystone option.

Thankfully most junglers can substitute Courage instead and tank top laners can substitute Grasp. It still sucks for those couple of champs though.

SotA is just hard to balance. If you nerf the health gain it's worthless. Right now its a free 300 health which is absurdly powerful. They removed it so that they can add another Keystone thats far easier to balance.

they could reduce it to 250 hp still would be used

Yeah, but that's still a lot of health. It's also a relatively boring keystone, as you never say "WOW I JUST GOT OUTPLAYED BY SOTA" you just kinda go "wow free health for farming how interactive".

I'd much rather they give SotA the cho gate stack treatment, and then they remove bond of stone.

Sota is strength of the ages. Soto is sword of the occult. If you actually read what the OP said you would know he was talking about a mastery and not an item.
