If anything it does nothing but detract from the experience. Whichever team gets the drake wins the game - no matter how far behind or ahead they were before they got the drake, afterwards they will win the game by default until the buff expires.
Why is this a thing? The cannon is a great addition, but the drakes really just detract from the whole experience.

dragon just give you 4 perma buffs and the elder buff that dont go away if you kill them....

The point is to push, but as hrooza said, the enemy team gaining permanent stat boosts on top of their already inflated stats (ez gold/items) is a bit much.
Seenan1 votesI don't like how it's so easy to kill and gives a huge damage bump considering it's all lv3 dragon buffs (can be solo'd by most champions with just a little bit of sustain and high dps).
