Yet another Hextech crafting rant feat. Soulstealer Vayne.

I've always been at a conundrum about Vayne, she was the first Champion I ever learned so I have a soft spot for her even if I don't really play ADC, but at the same time I find all her skins to be awful. So I was pretty stoked when I saw the new skin's teaser, yeah! Science! Wait what? Hextech Crafting only? ...Ffffff-

I have played my fair share of MMO's, a share big enough to make a stand on my own about NOT spending money in RNG stuff, which impacts directly to this skin, hell, I had settled myself to never have a Champion Mastery level 7 before they added the option to buy Champion Shards to make it more bearable.

It's almost as if Riot is actively trying to prevent me from giving them more money so...Thanks? Fuck, Riot, Just put the skin on sale like all the others and many people will buy it, but I WON'T spend money in these stupid boxes nor keys. Time to slowly grind them and wait for 10 gemstones to drop (aka, never).

Riot saw that people ( Youtubers like mundi and karp ) were buying the chests just for Hextech annie ( Bragging rights ) and were like OH WE CAN SCAM THESE LOSERS OUTTA 300+ $$

Don't buy it If the chests don't sell for Soulstealer vayne it will go onsale for normal skins ( Doesn't even have a voice change or special emotes so why its even in hextech atm is beyond me )

Yeah, I remember those videos, they were somewhat depressing. I believe Annie Bot had a crappy time getting that skin (If he even got it in the end, I'm not sure).

There's no way I'm subjecting myself to that kind of RNG trek for any skin whatsoever, no matter the quality.

Neither does hextech annie, the hextech skins are below legendary tier yet you have to pay hundreds of dollars if you want it in less than 2 years.

Hextech Annie is the exact same quality level as Soulstealer Vayne. New model, new particles, new recall animation. That's it. Fairly standard 975 skin nowadays.

Arclight Vayne is pretty cool, imo. I dont really play her that much, but ive been saving my gemstones, ive got like 2 so far haha, eventually il hit 10.

It's allright, but I don't particularly like the colors, but then again, that's just my opinion.

So, the thread has negative score, do people ACTUALLY like the Hextech system? I don't mind it as a side thing, but given that it's the only way I could get that skin, it annoys me to quite an extent.

I like it, FREE SKINS, WHAT IS NOT TO FREAKING LIKE. Your not entitled to a skin, its perfectly fine for some to be rare. The hextech system is incredible. Many MANY people couldnt afford to buy lots of skins, and it gave them a way to get skins for free, thats very very good.

It's allright as a side thing, but you have to consider that to get Soulstealer Vayne or Hextech Annie (and whatever more skins they put in for this), you have to get 10 gemstones or get the skin shard (good luck with that). I'm not saying I'm entitled to the skin, I'm willing to pay the usual money transaction for it, but there's no way I'm going to get the required 10 gemstones via drops anytime soon, or ever, considering my RNG luck.

It seems like Rito is trying to make some skins actually rare. Legacy skins are avalible so much their not at all, it's good for some skins to be genuinely rare. I've got PAX Jax for example.

I agree. Not being able to purchase the skin is ridiculous, given the very low chance of earning 10 gemstones. I have Arclight, but LOVE this new Soulstealer skin.
However, it's their platform, they can do whatever they like. :(

I like it cause it allows me to get skins for free and because of that i have no problem of them adding skins like that because it makes that rare and cool to see if someone has one

I agree with you. Also, the Vayne skin (Soulstealer) has NO interaction with HEXTECH, its pretty bs that they have to do this but now in days Riot just works for there own self care (money). I understand a company works and makes there way to achieve money, thats for what they were made for, but they should at least be less cheap with this stuff meaning they do small stuff and extend there prices by alot.
