Should we look back at the interaction between pink wards and thresh lantern?

Seeing people pink thresh's lantern over and over again in LCK to prevent Thresh from doing his job is... getting unpleasant.

We've mostly moved away from being able to negate abilities with a 75g investment (old Akali shroud, Rango, etc.). Thresh lantern strikes me as a weird and frustrating outlier from this trend, even if it doesn't involve stealth like the others did. So much of Thresh's strength is put into lantern; why is it made nearly impossible to use by a 75g investment that normally secures you 300g in exchange?

Yes, you can zoom in, but you shouldn't have to give up awareness in order to take advantage of Thresh's kit. = / (And it's not like you have the time to zoom in in many situations, anyways.) I'd really like to see this addressed.

I mean, mechanically, I think it's bullshit. Covering up a clickable area with a ward is something that should be looked into - not sure how you get a good solution there... You also have to be pretty darn close to stick a ward to his lantern area - I imagine a good chunk of the times it's simply not viable to do so. However i also think Thresh is one of the most powerful supports in the game, so it's a bit of a wash on my end. Happy to see him get the short end of the stick on something.

On a related note: going to start warding his lantern now!

On another related note: This problem is a bit system specific too - There are a lot of awkward interactions when it comes to clicking on something to auto it or 'use it' ... As an example, If two champions are overlapping, I have to be EXTREMELY careful about how i use my ultimate as Zilean, because its super easy to misclick and ult the wrong target! Not that this isn't fixable, but just saying, its more of a systemic problem with how the game handles 'layering'. Not sure it's solvable.

Something similar happened to a streamer I was watching (can't remember who, it's been a while). Basically a Teemo was doing drake alone, the streamer tried to fight the Teemo, but he couldn't click on him because of the drake's hitbox covering Teemo, ended up of the streamer dying while he could have easily killed him. It's bullshit and it's not "counterplay", counterplay are things like Poppy W, Anivia W (not sure if it still works) or predicting the dash with any CC (Blitzcrank Nami Janna Nautilus etc...), not covering the hitbox and preventing you from clicking on it.
