What "mechanically intense champion" doesn't feel actually "intense" for you?

You know, that champ that everybody says to be difficult but actually everyone uses with decent results an whose hidden tricks everyone knows.

Literally see people say he is difficult in a mechanical sense, but he really isn't.

How the hell is he difficult? Literally all you do is spam everything and run straight at people.

I shit you not that when I first tried him I thought you had to hit wards with his Q to jump to them. I seriously overvalued his complexity.

Champions in LoL aren't very mechanically intensive. Even dual kit champs like Jayce and Elise are pretty straightforward.

My beautiful Evelynn-chan is mechanically simple but one of the hardest champions because she requires the most awareness, positioning and timing of any champion. The difference between a bad Evelynn and a good Evelynn is a bad Evelynn is that the bad Evelynn will attack a solo ADC forgetting that the support is off the map or try to burst an APC withour realizing they have Zhonyas.

A good Evelynn will wait until Trist has blown her ult before bursting her ass, a good Evelynn will wait until Brand's sear is down before butchering his flaming ass. CDs, range, mana, dueling potential, all of these are factors.... mechanical ability isn't really relevant.

totally agree, League is a very simple game as far as in game mechanics go

LeeSin Vayne Jayce

in all cases these champions might have an okish high skill cap, but the difference between skill floor and skill cap is not as high as many people like to pretend.

LeeSin it doesnt take that much practise to learn lee sins combos. when you do, his maneuvers and especially his lane ganks have little counterplay. there is not much you can do against him just being faster than you in every regard, then flashing into position for r + q, q.

Vayne any mechanical difficulty she might take just vanishes after the first 15 minutes of the game and is just outshadowed by her ability to stat check almost every champion in the game with 2 items.

Jayce hes literally braindead. people are put off by the fact that he has 6 abilities, but they dont actually realize that he only has two combos, and both are on the same buttons and dont take any mechanical efford.

either he spams long range missiles from safe distance at you in cannon stance with q + e.

or he goes in on his opponent in hammer stance for a point and click burst combo with a free disengage attached with... you guessed it. q + e.

in both stances all of his abilities actually take 0 mechanical efford to use. and in both stances, his w is just there to be used as needed without playing a part in his combos.

really the most mechanical difficult ability for him to use, which is his q (a simple projectile skillshot), has no repercussions when it fails. he missed you from 2 screens away and spent some mana. big whoop. its not like hes going to get punished for missing his shot from over there and just waits until the ability is off cooldown to try again.

heck, in many cases he can outtrade his opponent just by hitting w in cannon stance and right click to auto attack.

Every post you make is whining about Vayne.

If you spent half that time actually learning how to play maybe you wouldnt be so bad.

Vayne isn't terribly difficult, I tried her at it feels similar to playing Twitch.

Vayne, a mobile ADC who relies on kiting and dodging opponents is comparable to Twitch, an ADC who literally sits still and right clicks until you die or he dies. You have no idea what youre talking about.

first of all, vayne does nothing any other adc doesnt have to do. every one of them has to dodge and kite. thats not something exceptional to vayne or exceptionally difficult to do on vayne.

being mobile doesnt make her more difficult to play. its an additional tool that makes kiting and dodging easier and not harder.

and no, her auto attack range isnt very short. its about average for an adc. and other adc wont carry by doing things like spamming sivir boomerangs or ashe w in fights.

they all have to get as close as her and auto attack. the only notable exceptions being caitlyn and a lategame tristana. her q and increased movement speed from her passive also increase her threat range.

if youre looking for an actually mechanically difficult adc, then thats Draven but not fucking vayne.

most of what she does is press r and right click her opponent to death. in that regard shes barely different to tryndamere. she has not a single ability in her kit that you can outplay.

what is her kit? her q is a damage steroid and mobility tool. her w a passive damage steroid. her e a point and click disengage. her r a passive steroid. everything she has is absolutely reliable without failure. nothing you can dodge or outplay.

If Vayne is so OP and easy then I suggest you go into a game and right click only on opponents like you would with Tryndamere

Ill await the results.

you dont get the problem. this isnt about vayne being op. actually depending on the meta she usually either is op or complete trash because her stat check kit makes her binary.

the problem with vayne is that she doesnt outplay. because there is nothing in her kit that is possible to outplay. she stalls the game long enough to outscale or she doesnt.

the problem is that her design is terrible and in that regard shes just as bad as Tryndamere or pre rework talon.

That's what I did once with Vayne, I waited till mid-late game, waited for people to misposition near a wall, then Q+E+blam few autos and they're dead in their stun.

vayne is the definition of a stat check champion. im not whining, im critisizing her design.

its down there with Tryndamere Annie

and in every regard as dumb as pre rework talon.

When you have several hundred games with this guy, and you know a lot of tricks, but still learn new ones all the time.

Arcus Diabolus1 votes

TRUST ME, compared to more mechanically complex video game genres, the characters in League or any other MOBA are more or less a breezy cake walk to learn and play.

Nothing in this game is something your average player couldn't do or at least couldn't try quite convincingly if they wanted to.

Fiora. Her combat is very rythmic and, after playing almost exclusively assassins for a while, very slow.

Fiora isn't that mechanically intensive, most of her mechanical ability comes out only in certain match ups, where you need to dodge stuff with Q and Riposte at perfect times, otherwise she's pretty straightforward. She's not really known to be super mechanical tho.

Other than that Fiora is just knowing how to build and knowing your power statcheck style.

Kalista is actually the most intense i start sweating after 10-15 mins and my hand hurts and the fact that her early game is so weak makes it even worse but i love her design so i keep playing her. riven doesnt feel that intense

grug

probably katarina just from champion.gg, spectating a few games and looking at profiles, a lot of bronze and silver players average great KDAs with high amounts of kills on katarina but some how manage to suck at all their other champs leading me to believe katarina maybe isn't as mechanically intensive to play as previously thought?

Around999People1 votes

Kat is easy tbh. I suck at her, but otherwise it's just a button mash.
