Riot, it's clear that there just isn't enough item availability to match the game's breakneck speed.
Games are ending before champions can get ahold of what makes them useful, and sometimes go entire games being unable to finish what would have kept them relevant in some way. On the flip-side, champions that are getting fed are the only ones getting to finish their broken items. Either: 1.) Reduce the cost and raw stats or abilities of all finished items in general (BC is built out of just Phage and Kindlegem yet gives 40 AD and 20% CDR :V) or 2.) Give everyone a bit more passive income and then buff neutral objectives to compensate so that they aren't so easy to breeze through.
The game will still be a one-shot fiesta - that won't change. What will change is the amount of relevant members on each team: more champions will become more relevant sooner. More people will get to experience the game in its current state more quickly. More people will get to actually engage in gameplay, because they will have access to finished items that matter to the champion that they're playing as more often.
Finally I only have this to say about tank items being discussed on the front page: BUFF TANK ITEMS! They deserve it and the game deserves them. If Tencent wants faster games fine, but please let those be the last thing that remains irrelevant. Unbuff certain tanks, buff Lethality items, add more anti-tank AP items, do what you have to. Just don't let an entire class of champions remain in this Ryze-esque state for any longer, and please give Marksmen, Assassins and hypercarries a reason to buy armor pen again so that fed ones aren't literally buying 6 hypercarry items straight every game and getting away with it.
