How many people are smurfing at low elo?

I'm coming a cross so many this season, probably because of Dynamic Q, but it's not even a question of COULD it be a smurf, i'm talking about people playing better then my plat AD friends that coach me from time to time, while sitting in silver 5? I'm not a God, but i was gold last season and i have almost 900k mastery points on Vayne, so you would think i could outskill anyone that i play vs at this elo but no, not really, it's odd. Yes, Vayne is late game, so i'm use to playing my lane passive no matter who i'm against, but you can tell based on how someone trades, combos and cancels animations, how much experience/skill they have at the role, and i'm use to playing with low silvers now, so i know what most of them look like when they play, and some players really stand out, i mean REALLY stand out as some of the best AD's i have ever faced, so i have developed this habit were if i find someone i think is "sus", i befriend them and have a chat with them after the game, in the hopes of finding out if the person was smurfing (low-key) or boosting friends, and what do you know? Yeah most of them turn out to be Plats who are helping friends get out of silver, and it's really easy to tell when i look at your win rates and they are all above 80%, even though this is your first season ranking. Smurfs are also always ridiculously good at the champion they have been playing all week, yet never have skins for him, not that this is a reliable method to find them, but it's the case when they turn out to be, you wouldn't buy a skin on a account that's not your main. Honestly, i have come across a total of 6 smurfs since last week, that admited to be smurfing, and others that i would asume are, but don't know for sure, so are not included in the 6. What's funny about this is that i can call it out since pre-lvl 6 a lot of the time, example, i was playing with a Cait the other day who just had flawless positioning, perfect cancels and trades, landing everything and predicting my tumbles Q. So i asked -" Hey cait, you seem really good at the game, how are you in silver? would you mind adding me after the game and teaching me some stuff?" answer: -"Sure man :D and yeah don't feel bad, this isn't really my main i'm just helping a friend." .... Like, yeah cool that you seem like a nice person, but this is now so often...I didn't come across many last season.

I feel like I'm smurfing on my main with the amount of noobs I get matched with, does this count?

There are lots of smurfs nowadays because of the shitty new queue system for these reasons: They dont wanna play at their own elo cuz they get bsed by 4mans. Diamonds cant play with more than 3 people so occasionally you'll vs a 5 man of diamond smurfs if you 5man or a 4 man if ur not lucky. platinums cannot play with their midrange diamond friends anymore unless they feel grinding back to diamond.

it's not a bad thing either necessarily because you can get better by vsing them and watching what they do against you. You can't blame your elo on smurfing/boosting though and i know that like 50% of this game or more is boosted so there's no real reward for climbing because you always get boosted people in your teams everywhere especially in higher elos butttttttttttt you can still get good enough to carry if you practice you can always if you practice.

and as for your 900k mastery on vayne your problem is not your lane but your understanding of the game.

When you play league of legends you should learn some very basic things such as: When to fight which consists of; Power Spikes, Champion matchups, Minion wave allocation, and positioning How do use map pressure to force free objectives and what map pressure is and what the major cause of it is (the jungler/mid, and minion waves). How to control waves in lane so that you can go leave your lane to get other things but not lose your tower / cs How to quickly and concisely call for powerplays like baron and dragon and when to call them (this will easily get you to platinum if you can spot when to baron and convince your team to come) lots of other things.... like vision control and timers and tracking the enemy jungle in your head being aware of the map making sure you're hitting at least 7.5 cs per minute for the first 20 mins even in a rough lane.

There are A LOT of smurfs. Most of them are high-gold/ low platinum in my experience, but even though they're not diamond or whatever it still leads to a very frustrating experience. Nothing like seeing a lane get blown out and watching the game crumble to a close 8 minutes in regularly. Smurfing definitely feels worse since DQ came out, although I don't know entirely why. I think smurfing is a garbage element and needs to be squashed. It's tremendously harder to carry within your elo this season. The platinum 5 smurf might not snowball the game but he certainly won't let you press your advantage like another silver 1 would. Ranked is basically a joke this season.

Short answer? On my team not enough.

On enemy team too many! (Btw i actually don't care ranked has too many problems outside just smurfing)
