Why is it okay for Jax to be a.. S class assassin. S class tank. S class AA based hyper carry while building like a bruiser?

He has one short-range gap closer, no other mobility, and mediocre defensive stats. His W/R provide damage mitigation, but no more than most duelists get.
His survival depends on defeating people before they can apply sustained damage.
